31. Israel will take care if herself. EU should do the same.
Barry ,   Tokyo   (01.17.14)
The EU are up to their noses with Arab immigrants who simply despise their hosts. Their governments are living on borrowed money used to fund the unproductive lives of their immigrant populations to the detriment of Europeans. Very convinient to deflect attention from their miserable problems on the only Jewish state in the world. The Catholic Church instilled anti-Semitic desease will eventually cause the EU to implode sooner than later. :)
32. Lieberman
Dennis ,   NJ USA   (01.17.14)
Dont always agree with this guy 100% of the time, but his instincts, which may not be the most diplomatic at times, are spot-on. I believe that he represents the Israeli interests well, and appreciate the fact that, as my Grandmother would say in Yiddish: "he doesnt let anyone spit in our Kasha". Im thanksful that he's our FM.
33. to#18
Marcelo ,   Berlin / TLV   (01.17.14)
I think, Bilma should start giving free access to buses to all brazileans and give free education and access to all services to the poor and oprimed people living in the favelas. Specially shw should not be waisting time and resources with the unusable world cup. I wish I could see all favelas people free.
34. EU would be singing a different tune if Hamas had better aim
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NYC   (01.17.14)
Not a week ago Hamas shot rockets towards the funeral of Ariel Sharon, what would have happened if those shots had actually hit those paying their respects? If any of the following where injured (or even scared) what would the response have been? US Vice President Biden, Quartet Envoy and former British PM Tony Blair, Czech Prime Minister Jiri Rusnok, Russian parliamentary head Sergey Naryshkin, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Spanish Home Affairs Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz and Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander.
35. #7 Jarda missleaded in interpatiion of history facts
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.17.14)
1939 -1945 6 milllions Jews perish in Holocaust in the place of Civilization Craddle called Europe. In same time in order to maintain control of "Palestine" Britanian Imperial Council base on Elite OficcerSs adviced to revoke Balfour Declaration, limitated Jewish emigation and imbold Arabs to atack Jews and the progrom from 1939 20000Jews have been killed, Hebron has been depleted from Jews which was a Jewish city. All the wars which Israel waged with Arabs have been defence FROM ANHILATION. ISRAEL base on humanitarial and evioronmental factors that didn't return the Arabs to their originale country which they pour in Palestine as British paln to anhilitate theJewish state vision by allowing big migration of Arab into it.(Divide and conqured) Mr. JADA look more like Mr. Ahmed to me or a another anti-semit with blind hate to Jews.
36. EU cowardly policy, check all Pals embassies
Canadian Citizen   (01.17.14)
Right act from Liberman. Learn from Canada we closed the Iranian, Syrian embassies and the next is the Palestinian one.
37. # 28 Lieberman's just getting started
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.17.14)
give him a chance, he'll make hamburger of the fictitious pals. And, I'm lovin' it. BUILD MORE JEWISH HOMES !!!
38. The whole world can go to hell
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.17.14)
they did nothing to save the Jews and looks like they'll do nothing to save the pals. Doesn't matter, the Jews can take care of themselves the pals can't. The pals are a welfare dependent non nation of non people. They are destroying themselves faster by 'honor killings' and teen suicide martyrdom. BUILDING ALL OF ISRAEL FOR ALL HER HOME COMING JEWS !!!!
39. # 34 Most you list wouldn't be missed
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (01.17.14)
they'd be replaced with other anti semites who's brains are in their anus'. BUILDING AWAY!!!
40. # 31 Barry, Tokyo
(01.17.14)
Your in one of the few nations who will never know Islamic terror, why? Japan wont allow any Muslims entry to Japan. Smart, very smart. When will Israel do the sameOnce obama's term is finished one less muslim.
41. #7 is correct. I know the jews consider
Jim ,   USA   (01.17.14)
the truth "antisemitic" and it is acceptable to twist the facts. In the 3 months before israel declared its independence, Irgun, stern gang & haghann expelled over 300,000 non-jews from there villages.
42. 5 "Sarah"
CJK   (01.17.14)
nobody is forced to build anything. people build out of necessity. others build because they want to, as in any other country. nobody forces the arabs to walk out. they have walked out on numerous occasions for no reason other that they do not want jewish sovereignty and end the conflict. the eu embassadors were called in as a reciprocity to israel's embassadors being called in. that is that is normal diplomatic protocol, but you would not know that. the national security of the country is determined by the democratically elected leadership. as of now, this leadership is leaning right. the 500,000 jews living beyond the green line, most certaily do not determine the lives of those who live within the green line. they do not have the power.
43. Jarda # 10
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (01.17.14)
Unfortunately for you God is going to see to it that you never get your wish. You have a very unhappy future ahead of you.
44. 42.
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.17.14)
Thanks CJK, very well written.
45. Shock,trauma and dispair
Artur ,   Warsaw   (01.17.14)
I guess UK,France,Spain and Italy are tremendous hit and despair by Israel's reprimand.Shocked and paralyzed. They would not be able to go another day.
46. #19 Benny Morris is a historial revisionist
Cynthia ,   USA   (01.17.14)
But even Benny acknowledged the Arabs left on their own. Poor Jarda. Is that what your family did and they tried to blame Jews for their poor decisions? And notice how the Arabs started the war with Israel, caused the refugee problem and decades later, don't give a damn about them.
47. Lieberman fights back
Harold ,   USA   (01.17.14)
Lieberman has to punish those European countries by stopping any contact with them and stop exporting 70 percent of Israeli export to Europe.
48. #33
Dave ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (01.17.14)
I think you should focus on the subject instead of writing unrelated nonsense. I may live in Brazil but I am still Israeli and Jewish and greatly worried about what the Israeli government is doing to Israel.
49. #42
Harold ,   USA   (01.18.14)
The only step Lieberman can do at present is to stop dealing with these European countries and stop exporting 70 percent of Israeli goods to Europe Sarah B #5 is right Lieberman is one of the settlers and he has taken Netanyahu a hostage.
50. Right step, but don't cut ties to EU!
Gabriel ,   BUDAPEST, Hungary   (01.18.14)
It's stupid to say, Israel should cut ties with EU. Not all the Europeans hate Israel, and many Israeli are double citizens of EU countries. At the other hand, Lieberman made the right step. It's time to tell to EU leaders openly, that their Israel politics is BIASED and unbalanced. Israel, like many other countries, has its own national interests. It's not the EU's task to determine where Israel's final borders will end. Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel. Europeans should learn from Berlin's history. Dividing a city is a nonsense!
51. 44 Birdi,
CJK   (01.18.14)
you are very welcome.
52. to 19
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (01.18.14)
Maybe if you shout loud from a mountain top, the factual history about well over 3000 years history of Jewish People in the land of Canaan(well beyond the borders of today's Israel), will magically turn to myth, just for you and your likes... Just say : "Abra Kadabra...", Jadra....
53. Confused report
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.19.14)
This report opens by talking about "Israel's plan to build additional settlements," but later on it emerges that it is merely fresh building within existing settlements. To object to the latter is quibbling, to object to the former would have been understandable since Israel promised not to do it and doing it would change the map.
