Maybe those who work on the Sabbath like it that way. They get a day off when society is functioning, buses are running and shops are open. I have been boycotting Jerusalem for a few years now and will not go there when coming to Israel until city officials implement democracy in that city. But until the officials wake up, I expect concerned business owners to take action themselves, like the customers in that restaurant, in opposition to Haredi coercion. The oppression by Haredim must end. The city officials in Jerusalem need to understand what the majority wants in the city and what is the law in the country. The Haredim must learn to coexist with every Israeli citizen and equality under the law must reign there.
