JOHN ,   ROCHESTER   (02.14.14)
It's funny how the EU will fight for animal rights, but not about "Human rights", such as the rights of it's Jewish citizens to practice their religion without interference. Shame on Denmark.
32. Irony

Denmark outlawing kosher slaughter. Hmm. Does anyone find this ironic considering Danish zoos are slaughtering giraffes‽

34. What a bunch of Anti-Semite
Judd Rusnak ,   Sydney   (02.14.14)
There are only 1900 Jews left in Denmark today. 75% of them probably don't keep Kosher at their home and they would care less if the meat they eat is Kosher or not. So, these anti-Semites (the Danish government/ parliamentarians/Ass-holes) worry about what 500 Jews out of 5.5 Million Danish, eat?. We should be smart enough to Export Kosher meat to our Jews in Denmark, putting big labels on the Imported Beef/Chicken, advertising that this is a Free Kosher food for Jewish consumption only bypassing the Danish laws. To show them that we are a proud nation with 4000 years of tradition of Kosher eater! What a Joke, can anyone convince me that this is not Anti-Semitic?

When you take a fish out from the water did the fish suffer ? If so, you have to stund all the fishes, or fishes have no rights. Also in humanitarin Europe, must be banned bull fight, bear hunting, fox hunting, birds hunting, and keeping birds in cages, they have the right to be free
36. Learning to respect other peoples ways.
Harri ,   EU   (02.15.14)
I'm very sorry, because I understand your point of view, but I cant blame danish for not believing like you believe. Danish people, and many other European people think that cutting throat and bleeding to death is not more easy way to die. They don't want that happen to themselves and don't want that happen to their animals. I history, it was the easiest way to die, and I think that G-d gave us orders to do the easiest way, when we slaughter animals. I may be wrong and I respect your ways. But I hope that you can also respect the other peoples ways.
37. Denmark is not kind to animals
DR ,   Haifa, Israel   (02.16.14)
It is ironic that a zoo in Copenhagen just shot a healthy giraffe and IN FRONT OF CHILDREN fed it to the lions. What a humane society!!
38. Consistency
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (02.17.14)
Years back the issue was raised in the UK, and a Dayan visited a range of abatoires to see the various methods used. He concluded that industrial slaughter with stunning had many problems and stunning often did not work how it was meant to. Halal varied quite a lot and should be better supervised to be consistent. Kosher slaughter was supervised and consistent.
