What right do the palis have to determine what Israel calls itself? If they recognize Israel, they do it as Israel calls itself. Otherwise, refuse to recognize their state as palestine. Call it western jordan. It seems to me that Israel has a bargaining chip that it doesn't seem to be fully utilizing; access from gaza. Access through Israel is certainly not a right the palis can reasonably claim, so it should be given at a very steep price.
2. The only thing Israel should give "Palestinians".
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.19.14)
The only thing Israel should ever give "Palestinians" is help to leave our land permanently. Nothing else.
3. I finally agree wuth her
Ben S ,   Free World   (02.19.14)
The proposed plan is a non starter. Israel gives and gives in return for nothing. Now Hanan the witch can crawl back under her rock..
4. PA "two tracks", continued talks with Kerry, and ICC, UNSC

5. Peace talks
James ,   USA   (02.19.14)
In the months that these talks have been going on, has anyone noticed that the PA has not once said anything positive and the comments by Israelis have been overwhelmingly anti , give us your homeland for peace. Bibi and Kerry need to pay attention that neither side wants these talks to go on.
6. You Can Certainly Trust What Abbas Says
Rob Miller ,   Los Angeles USA   (02.19.14)
Not. He also said when he met with the students that he wasn't a Holocaust denier, even though that's exactly what his thesis from Moscow U says and it's still a standard textbook in 'Palestine'.
7. No once again
Jez ,   Netanya   (02.19.14)
Mrs Ashrawi is one of the old band of rejectionists. The Palestinian negotiating team from what one can gather is populated by people who have been around a very, very long time and are basically not prepared to make peace with the Jewish State, They will always say no. It is a shame their people might have to wait until they leave the scene for things to change.
8. #2, I FULLY agree Chaim !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.19.14)
As always...
9. palestinians will reject kerry framework
areih   (02.19.14)
Cause biibi is weak and would accept kerry framework with all this bullcrap rationalizations, PLO willl reject it most likely. likud would do well to cut bibi off from deciding concessions without likud approval, vote no confidence and throw him out. he is a spokesman and not a leader.
10. You have to love ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.19.14)
... the way the United States and the "Palestine" Authority negotiate with each other as if Israel had no say in the matter. NEWS FLASH! It's the "Palestinians" that have no say. They're the vanquished aggressors, remember? Rule No. 1: Vanquished aggressors do not set terms or conditions for anything, ever. Rule No. 2: If you have any doubts, misgivings or second-guesses about the role that vanquished aggressors play, see Rule No. 1.
11. Jewish National Home
Joseph ,   London England   (02.20.14)
Has the PA not read the Balfour Declaration and the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine? The concept of the 'Jewish National Home' or the 'Jewish State' is nothing new. When the Brits promised the Arabs independent states in the region of Damascus, Homs, Homa and Aleppo, Britain left aside the area of Palestine -- on both sides of the Jordan -- as the region of the Jewish National Home. Churchill then gave the East Bank for the Kingdom of Jordan on condition the king accept a Jewish state on the West Bank, from River Jordan to the Mediterranean. Now they want to make another Arab state in the 23% left for the Jews.
