for those who do not know, or refuse to know, the sole purpose of israel is to be the state and homeland of the jewish people. the land of israel is the land where jews had established their homeland over three thousand years ago and where david built jerusalem and solomon built the first temple and where subesequuently the second temple was built. the very fact that jews in exile in four corners of the world had continued to pray for jerusalem and were willing to endure two thousand years of persecution is proof that the land of israel is jewish land.

It is easy to assure everyone that the present 20% Israeli Arabs will be assured as to their position and future,whilst making it plain that there is no room for "right of return of any Arabs displaced since 1948. It is also easy to point out how many Jews left or were forced out of Arab countries,which may balance the Arab request of return. However I dont see any serious intent on either side.Israel seems to wish to maintain the status quo whilst building,and the Palestinians wish to take Israel over in stages.Oh how I wish to be proved wrong.

I totally agree with your post but you must admit that Abbas has more balls than Bibi because he has nothing to lose.I don't think Bibi can withstand pressure from Obama-there is something going on that we don't know. Only a few days ago and on previous times Moslem clerics have stated what the Quran has to say about Jews and that Allah says that Israel is the home of the Jews and no mention of fictional Palestine and that Jerusalem also belongs to the Jews.Why has not Bibi and Israeli leaders bought this up very strongly to all-especiallu US and abbas' negotiators.There should not even be negotiations.Crazy!.
