61. I Almost Wish The US Would Free Pollard
World Citizen ,   the world   (03.26.14)
Then the whole sordid story would become fresh in the minds of the Americans. Young Americans would learn that the national security secrets that Pollard stole at the direction of his Israeli handlers were sold by Israel to the Russians. The Americans so-called best ally in the Middle East sold the USA out. These secrets weren't just any secrets. They were related to the USA's ability to survive a nuclear first strike by the Russians. And the Israelis did this so Soviet Jews could come to Palestine and colonize Palestinian land. So by all means let Pollard go and let the story of Israeli treachery be known throughout the world.

Good question, Eagle.
63. #61 Still won't change anything on the ground

And the fact that America is finished as a nation.... Like Obama said yesterday, his greatest fear is that a nuke will go off in NYC.... We'll be seeing that within the next two years.
64. # 63 My greatest fear....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (03.26.14)
is that it won't be Washington D.C. Dear NSA.....that was a joke.

Any Arab with 10 sheqels to spend, that's who. That would certainly explain the uncommon obsession with swimming pools. It's not for the status she (mistakenly) thinks a swimming pool conveys; it's for the disinfectant nature of the chlorine!

Perfect! We'll rescind all technology licensing agreements with American companies, and you can throw away your mobile phone and go back to using two tin cans and a piece of string. We won't share our chemotherapy protocols, and Americans can go back to dying of easily treatable cancers. You'll have to throw away your computers, laptops, notebooks and Kindles, of course, but that's your problem. That's just Israeli technology. If we expand the list to include all Jews, everywhere, you're REALLY be in a rough time. How's THAT for a deal, sluggo?

Another precinct heard from .... and form the country that produced Bevin, Philby, Burgess, Maclean, Cairncross and the art consultant to Lilibet. Shut up, chica. You're too stupid to comment on anything.
68. #34, "Sarah B", that's not true
Jake   (03.27.14)
The name of Pollard's primary Israeli handler, Aviem Sella, has been well know for some time. Revealing the identity of Pollard's handelers was never tied to Pollard's release. But more to the point, according to the CIA's 1987 damage assessment of Pollard's crimes, which was declassified in 2012, Pollard was not asked by his Israeli handlers to gather information on U.S. military activities, but rather to collect U.S. intelligence on Arab states, Pakistan and the Soviet Union, and especially their weapons systems.
69. "World" #61, yawn
Jake   (03.27.14)
Yes, let's refresh people's memories shall we? According to the CIA's 1987 damage assessment of Pollard's crimes, which was declassified on December 14, 2012, Pollard was not asked by his Israeli handlers to gather information on U.S. military activities, but rather to collect U.S. intelligence on Arab states, Pakistan and the Soviet Union, and especially their weapons systems. That was intelligence info that the US ought to have shared with Israel in the first place. After all, the Soviet Union and the Arab states weren't exactly America's alies, were they?
70. Nothing for US
d'Arc ,   USA   (03.27.14)
The US would get nothing by such a move. It would also confirm all the worst fears in the Arab world.. Nobody traveling with the circus has asked.

You missed the point. The CIA report was written by Aldrich Ames. Remember him?
72. If Israel could just be quiet for one year about Pollard
Mark B. ,   Amsterdam / Holland   (03.27.14)
There might be a chance he will be released from prison. Pressure for his release should be applied behind close doors. By continuing to demand his release so publicly the Americans wil shoot in their own foot when they do. They will look weak, like doing a roll-over to Israeli/Jewish pressure. The Americans will only release him when they can bring it as a gesture of compassion, good-will and generosity, out of their own free will. It is typical for Israeli diplomacy, press and general public they do not take into account the consequences for the US in the (Arab) world of such a move when there is continuous public shouting and demands for his release.
73. Pollard

Life in prison, means life in prison in the US,We have truth in sentencing, the only time you get out, is when they ask where to send the body.
