1. It's well past the time that...
RichInBoston ,   Boston USA   (04.08.14)
...Mr. Kerry should back his empty bags and go back home to Obama.
2. Well, we just knew he'd want to blame Israel
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (04.08.14)
Kerry is a liar and a fool. Whether it was in November when he predicted increased violence or more recently when he predicted increasing isolation, both the consequences of failed peace talks, he's been prepping to blame Israel for failures that belong elsewhere. He finally got his chance and he took it. He just can't bring himself to blame the Palestinians for anything, today suggesting that the PA's most egregious recent moves were "inadvertent". (Israeli moves, in contrast, are always deliberate and troublesome.)
3. Here it is, Jewish Democrats, your future ....
shneerhere ,   usa   (04.08.14)
Obama/Kerry IS throwing your Israel under the bus. This is only the beginning. Still believe all those rosy words about 'we got your back' and 'all options on the table' regarding Iran? Your options are missles from Iran, or missles from the North and South. Time to cut your dependence on Democratic pipe dreams.
4. WHEN KERRY WAS A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
....DACON9   (04.08.14)
WHEN KERRY WAS A PRESIDNTIAL CANDIDATE. his wife donated 5 million dollars to muslims brotherhood. Now she donates through a channel called 'tides. foundation'. Israels fault is they dont know their own history nor facts that *THEY live through. Israel doesnt explain to the world that they have babies and need housing and the arabs calling themselves palsitinian historically do not have any rights to THAT PARTICULAR LAND. Those southern syrians and egyptians can force interpretations but arabs were there intermediatly for approx 580 years while fighting the roman/xtian empire. There were 30 conquering tribes on THE HOLY LAND OF ISRAEL.Yet Jews remained even though many were spread throughout the 4 corners of the world. IF ISRAEL IS AFRAID TO SAY THAT THEY MUST BUILD AND MUST GROW AND ABBAS SHOULD MOVE TO SYRIA. If Israel is afraid to say it THEN THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN G-D OR THEMSELVES By the way filsitine/philsitine are NOT NOT todays PPPalstine. They are completely different people and different DNA
5. Mr Kerry, what has Palestinians done for the talk?
Naomi   (04.08.14)
Israel has done beyond what is difficult for a country. Whereas Abbas is picking on everything and refusing to acknowledge Israel. His true colours showed immediately when Israel delayed final release of prisoners - he immediately went back to unilateral action. This is the card that he has always and even if Israel followed every condition, Abbas would still betray USA. But Kerry refuses to see that, and blame Israel. Would US ever release any terrorist or political prisoner? Never. And yet they expect Israel to bow so low. A true ally would not do that.
6. Kerry is a mouthpiece and oppurtunist
Abu Zibby ,   Haifa, IL   (04.08.14)
Unfathomed by facts and agreements (there was never an agreement to freeze East Jerusalem building and to release more terrorists) he has to voice the opinions of his administration. I pity him a bit. But then, not really. It was his choice to empbark on this venture. Even Tzipi showed more backbone than him.
7. would the US release convicted
Barney ,   USA   (04.08.14)
terrorists? Why do we expect Israel to do this? These aren't shoplifters. Would the US negotiate with a people who are shooting rockets into civilian centers? Would the US negotiate with people who incite hatred starting with preschoolers? It seems Israel does not have a peace partner and therefore not much incentive to give more. Gaza was a failure as was Lebanon. The situations only got worse there.
8. Mr. Kerry
Israel Winicki ,   Beer Sheba-Israel   (04.08.14)
you are blind, you have to blame the other side
9. Netanyahu failed again
(04.08.14)
The only conceivable reason Netanyahu went to the talks, even paying for the privilege by releasing murderers, was so that he would not be blamed for the inevitable failure. He even let the pro-Obama extreme Left Zippy Livni lead the talks. Zionists warned Netanyahu that he would be blamed. Not surprisingly, Abbas proved he does not want peace, spit in Obama's and Kerry's face, and now Netanyahu gets blamed.
10. Kerry says Israel responsible for peace talks crisis
George Weiss ,   Teaneck, USA   (04.08.14)
I find it outragous that Kerry blames Israel for the breakdown in the talks. Now I am sure he is antisemitic. WOuls the US even consider freeing even one convicted terrorist? It is clear that the Arabs only wanted to free their killers and were not interested in giving anything in return. They are totally responsible for the talks ending.
11. Insult upon injury: Kerry, are you is a betrayal?.
Peter James ,   UK   (04.08.14)
O what an insult upon injury? What has Israel done against Kerry to warrant this insult upon injury that just came out from his mouth? Please, kerry, pack your bags and go home. I guess no Saudi Arabia oil for you.
12. Default Move...
ex-frummie ,   Johannesburg S.A.   (04.08.14)
Blame the Jews - Kerry should know better - but bullies like to bully.
13. Obama and Kerry
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (04.08.14)
This two are really needing to be classified by Jews all around the world as the most anti israel in the last 50 years! Kerry lost all the diplomatic battles he started and now is accusing us! He wont accept that his view of the conflict is plainly unreal and demanding just on Israel! Let this arab lover get what he deserves as soon as possible!
14. Tragic but true... both the settlers and heredim
Rafi ,   US   (04.08.14)
... are two groups that are pulling the enitre State of Israel in extremely harmful directions - for the own selfish purposes! Moreover this is facilitated/ enabled by the weak, craven politicians of the Netanyahu govt - who are adept at only one thing: staying in office.
15. Israel has no obligation to release mass murderers
CJK   (04.08.14)
it was the obama regime who extorted the sovereign jewish state of israel to release convicted mass murdering muslim terrorists. the obama regime thinks that jewish blood is indeed very cheap and that jewish sovereignty is non-existent. kerry's blame game is setting up israel for further blackmail. netanyahu needs to realise that he cannot win against the obama regime which is intent on creating an arab palestinian state at all costs. netanyahu needs to start saying "no" to these extortionists and become more pro-active. adopt the levy report and annex area C before the arabs go the un and obama withholds american veto.
16. the ---> 'obsession'
Susan ,   USA   (04.08.14)
(It is always the fault of....) To quote something I heard all my life and my parents and their parents heard: (... 'you damn Jews.' ) While the world is burning one can not stop 'obsessing' over Israel and what of course Israel/Jews do wrong. G-d forbid the powers that be tell the real truth. Heaven forbid the continual sanitizing of the Palestinians and greater ME problem fell in the laps of the Palestinians. Yes of course release those prisoners to an entity whose charter threatens the very life of Israeli citizens. Of course release the prisoners for an entity who can not say the words, "Israel is a Jewish State.' Why should anyone but us understand this?? Everyone has an agenda against us, even our friends because....."There will not be peace in the ME until Palestinians have a homeland." "Palestine must be contiguous and not resemble swiss chesse." These are just two quotes from our supposed best friend over an 8 year period in the office of President. If we can not expect our 'friends' to make good on promises, such as signing the embassy act and moving the US embassy to Jerusalem what can we expect from our distractors , enemies and those who prop them up? After all, if Kerry wouldn't make such outrageous statements if he were not obsessed to begin with. Ditto all those who came before him and those who will come after. It is difficult at best to escape walking beneath that proverbial cloud even on the most sunny Spring day.
17. I am sure that once the U.S. has dealt with iran properly,
a ,   canada   (04.08.14)
so that Iran's threat against Israel is negated, then Israel will be happy to follow the U.S.'s suggestions for peace. As it stands, it seems that Israel cannot rely on the U.S. dealing with Iran effectively to secure Israel's existence, so how can they trust the U.S. on anything else? Obama's actions(or inaction) in other areas, such as Syria and the Crimea, despite assurances, does not engender great trust.
18. Kerry starts the blame game not a very good interlocutor!
(04.08.14)
The Palestinians wanted the fourth set of prisoners set free ready to break off negotiations and go to the UN regardless. Israel wasn't going to play the Fool!
19. Framework missing Charter unchangedStatenotRecognisedJewish
Martin SA   (04.08.14)
Framework missing not on the table (JK) Charter unchanged (PA) State not Recognised as Jewish (PA) 8 months and nothing of substance achieved PA not a peace partner and give nothing We must release murderers So blame us but the finger point back doesnt it
20. The Arabs want Israeli land which they are not entitled to
Larry ,   Or Yehuda   (04.08.14)
and you blame Israel. Kerry you are occupying my house, please GET OUT. Same thing!
21. Kerry you should release the Guantanamo prisonners
Dovdevan ,   Ashdod,IsraĆ«l   (04.08.14)
To save the peace process you ask israel to release prisonners with blood on their hands terrorist i ask you the same
22. Gaza rockets throughout the negotiations, Iran weapons ship,
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.08.14)
continuous Arab terrorism in Judea and Samaria, the violent Jordanian "judge" at Allenby bridge, these are the real reasons for failure of talks.
23. Talks failed trom the outset
Ron ,   oc us   (04.08.14)
With a precondition of murderers freed for the privlidge of sitting down with Abbas the talks were doomed. Iran's bomb will have the world wringing their hands for some time to come. The Saudi Arabians will have the bomb soon and others will certainly follow. Kerry and most of the west thought that if the "conflict" were solved Iran would not build a bomb and join the family of nations. All wrong. Israel could evaporate and Iran, hezbollah and Syria would still have the bomb.
24. I'm surprised it took so long to blame us
michael   (04.08.14)
25. Prisoners? Blaming Israel?
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (04.08.14)
Blame the Arabs for making such a demand in the first place. They murder Jews. We arrest, sentence and imprison the culprits. They demand the release of these murderers. We (foolishly) agree. We realize that the Arabs are playing games. We withhold the release of more murderers. And we get blamed? Now that the talks have failed, Israel should demand the round-up and re-arrest of those criminals it let go, and stick them in prison again.
26. Israeli Israel obstructing Kerry's talks with the enemy?
Righteous Zionist ,   Israel   (04.08.14)
At least our government is doing something right.
27. ok...and also
rachel ,   homenow4good   (04.08.14)
the blue moon and global warming are causes. What was the cause for Arab denial and lust for Jewish blood in 1929?1920?1860? 1735?1635? ETC.
28. It does not take an Israeli negotia too long to .....
Arnold-Canada ,   Montreal   (04.08.14)
realize that the Palestinians were sitting down solely to get the prisoners released. The negotiating started in July of 2013. Along the way three sets of prisoners were released. All the while nothing was getting resolved by the end of March so the Israelis asked for an extension. They got a flat no and the UN card shoved into their face. No person or group is going to make a fool of Israel. An insider of the Palestinians let it be known that the Palestinians were going to walk as soon asthe last group of prisoners was released.
29. America Builds In Two Hundred Year Old American Land,
joyce fraser ,   USA   (04.08.14)
and Israel builds in Two Thousand Year Old Israeli land, which includes Judea and Samaria.
30. Shame on the Obama administration!!
Mladen Andrijasevic ,   Be'er Sheva   (04.08.14)
This is beyond absurd. It is time for the Israeli government to explain the real reason why there is no deal. The Palestinians cannot abandon jihad since it is one of the basic tenets of their faith. Kerry is an ignoramus and ideologue par excellence and no facts will ever change his mind. What a disgrace and shame for the US!
