If it was a botched robbery, I can understand the killing of this unfortunate woman. But not the stabbing of an 18-month-old infant who could not testify as to the perpetrator.
Sounds more like a terror attack or hate attack to me....

An alarming number of tourists are murdered each year in Cambodia for a variety of reasons, and the usual response is for the police to ignore them. Unless the victim has connections, the death is typically dismissed as a drug deal gone bad.
