By your reasoning the Middle East should be divided into hundreds and thousands of banana countries for each tribe and separate religious sect. Egypt and Syria examples contradict your theoretical assumption. The former is pretty homogeneous being 90% Muslim other than Christians dispersed throughout the country and it is still a big mess, and the latter is 80% Sunni Muslim yet a savage civil war is being waged as I post. The common denominator to everything happening in the region is Islam. Eradicate Islam from the face of earth and all humanity will be much better off for it.
