There was no issue of a woman being forced to circumcise her son at his father's request. It was the court forcibly preventing a father from circumcising his son at his ex-wife's demand. It was the civil court once again deciding that fathers have no rights, just obligations. Why is it the court supports a nasty woman who perjures herself in court to get more money from the child's father? Where is the justice?

circumcision is the very heart of judaism. what is the point of having a jewish state when jewish identity is being denied. throughout the ages boys have been circumcised as a sign of the covenant. secular jews were not any different in this respect than the orthodox. parents defied the authorities in european countries and circumcised their sons in secret.

1 it is a violation of a fundamental jewish law. 2 circumcision is painful in adulthood, whereas a baby of eight days old gets over it in a few minutes. 3 a boy who is not circumcised is not considered jewish. he is mocked by his comrades.

The rabbinical court should NOT be able to 'rule' that anyone do anything. We are a secular country with ONE judicial system - and the religious are not included - not in that and they also have no say in the government. Thank GOD!

But replace the word circumcised by mutilated (since circumcision is a sort of accepted mutilation). It's in the interest of the child to mutilate him.... It's scary
