1. of course they upped their price
(10.14.14)
They started an unprovoked war that was mainly performing war crimes against Jewish and Arab civilians. Despite years of preparation, Israel militarily defeated even their best surprises. They were facing a real chance that IDF would dig them out of their bunkers and end their rule once and for all. Despite this, they received unconditional support from Obama and Cameron who joined the fray by imposing an arms embargo on Israel and shutting Israel's airport. Now, the world decided to ignore the fate of real genocides in Kurdistan, Iraq and Nigeria and give Hamas more than 5 billion dollars while dismissing Israel's call for disarmament. Of course they upped their price for the bodies.
2. I am concerned because Hamas seems to be
erin ,   USA   (10.14.14)
wheeling- dealing and they are missing the bigger picture. Israel is a closer friend to them than a foe and they should just agree to arrangements and not egg-on Israeli. I live here in the U.S., and in my belief, the US government planned and plotted the 9/11 attacks and use jihadists to carry it out. I am telling you, you may think you're crafty, but the US has got a corner on that market and them some. I am concerned Hamas is not seeing it has tohave a future together with Israel, or it has to face the U.S. The U.S. will not let Hamas live without Israel in the backdrop, so it's better to get along with Israel, and not have that big fish looking down your street. Is it right to be afraid of the U.S.? No. But it's reality. They have bad, bad, bad capabilities. Worse than you can imagine. Steer clear of them. They don't play nice. You will do better to get along with your neighbors and work these things out than fight with the U.S. who considers you(Hamas) a terrorist organization. You do not want to go down that road with them. God helps, call on Him.
3. Really? Upping the ante?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.14.14)
What say we blow up a few buildings in Gaza -- perhaps an electrical installation or two -- and ask them if they wouldn't like to reconsider. What say Israel simply shuts down crossing into Gaza. Should the Europeans and the rest of the sycophants protest, explain to them how really, REALLY much we want our heroes back. If they don't comply, squeeze harder. Israelis repatriated. If not, Gaza can starve to death for all we care. Seems pretty simple to me. Do keep in mind that there is a fully legal and internationally recognized embargo of the Gaza Strip. Violate that, and watch what happens. Our heroes come home. Otherwise, Gaza starves. Seems pretty simple to me.
4. do not release a single terrorist
CJK   (10.14.14)
it would be insane to release murderous terrorists for body parts.
5. Israeli masochists.
tiki ,   belgium   (10.14.14)
STOP talking, negotiating over dead soldiers body parts! STOP provide services, materials etc. to those who want to kill you, say so openly & boast about it. The 2 soldiers are dead so let their body parts not be part of other Israeli victims. That's the only language Hamas doesn't want to hear and behaviour Hamas doesn't want to see........., therefore use it! Let the soldiers rest in piece and not be part of 'negotiations' with their killers.
6. Hamas is ISIS, arenĀ“t they?
dilbert ,   in the office   (10.14.14)
Bibi makes deals with the worst terrorists of all?
7. To say we have a weak government, would be understatement of
(10.14.14)
Titanic magnitude! The feeling of sinking hope is being reinforced daily by our seemingly elected representatives, starting at the very top down through General Staff... Only when risking nothing (politically) are our "courageous" politicos full of bravado & big, patriotic words...then silence.....and surrender to any/every terrorist whim!
8. Humanitarian gestures
Jerusalem   (10.14.14)
The soldiers remains should be handed over to Israel with no conditions. This is the right thing to do.
9. Suggestion - if exchanging prisoners for the 2 bodies
barbara ,   Haifa   (10.16.14)
then inject prisoners (wtihout their knowing) of tracking devices.
10. Soldiers Bodies
Yafit Rothshild ,   Tel Aviv   (10.17.14)
No more negotiating with terrorist Hamas over dead bodies. The exchange for Gilad Shalit has shown that the released terrorists only attack and kill again. When Israel no longer trades terrorists for kidnapped Israelis, dead or alive, the ploy of kidnapping Israelis has no role. End future kidnappings by ending trading captured terrorists.
