1. Why doesn't the UN ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.22.14)
... investigate why a United Nations school permitted weapons to be stored in its facility and why a United Nations school allowed its grounds to be used to fire missiles and mortars at Israeli civilian population centers? The instant the school was used for such nefarious purposes, it became a legitimate military target. That makes the UNRWA complicit in the commission of war crimes. The fact that the UNRWA permitted such despicable activities while also allowing -- even, perhaps, encouraging -- people to shelter in the school while knowing that the school had become a legitimate military target makes the UNRWA guilty of crimes against humanity. The United Nations needs to investigate itself. When a United Nations facility deliberately engages in war crimes -- storing weapons, allowing those weapons to be used from its property -- it loses the right to claim protection under the United Nations flag. The United Nations needs to be dismantled, and something better built in its place. The UN is a cheap, tawdry organization that routinely violates the very principles upon which it was founded. The Secretary General is, understandably, embarrassed, and quite anxious to deflect attention from its war criminal status. But it isn't going to work. Too many people know the truth, the truth was reported by too many legitimate journalists who were merely there to report the truth. (See, in the civilized world, we encourage reporting of the truth.) A lot of people were filled with shock and revulsion by the crimes committed by the United Nations and its member agencies. Investigate yourself, Mr. Moon. Tell us why a United Nations facility aided and abetted war criminals. Tell us, Mr. Moon, or tell the International Court of Justice in The Hague. You, sir, are not immune from prosecution for war crimes. You cannot hide behind diplomatic immunity for engaging in war crimes and crimes against humanity. You are ultimately accountable for the United Nations' clear criminal behavior. The evidence is prima facie. Investigate yourself, or lose whatever tiny shred of credibility you may have. Although, frankly, it is probably too late.
2. How is Israel supposed to Investigate
maddad ,   Johannesburg RSA   (10.22.14)
How is Israel supposed to undertake an investigation of it's supposed wrongdoing when: - it does not have access to the evidence - the "crime scene" has long been tampered with and "cleaned up" - the only witnesses are hostile or intimidated Surely there is enough evidence to indicate that people where not allowed to leave the area after the leaflets where dropped and were forced into being human shields? Surely it is possible that Hamas could have been responsible - i.e. not beyond reasonable doubt that Israel did it.

Say, moron, how many children were killed in massive carpet bombing runs carried out by NATO -- chiefly the United States and the United Kingdom -- in Afghanistan and Iraq? Children whose parents were NOT firing missiles and mortars at innocent civilians in the United States and Great Britain? The number, conservatively, is estimated at approximately 680,000. Children under the age of 16, I might add. For that matter, what about the hundreds of thousands of German children that were killed in the Allied carpet bombing of Germany? The Allies were really good at killing German children, while neatly bypassing bombing the railroad tracks carrying cattle cars full of Jews to the slaughter. Japan? The firebombing of Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe? Over one million dead children. So go ahead, bitch and moan about a few hundred children who were used as human shields while their terrorist parents and masters deliberately put them in harm's way. You're an idiot. A complete moron. Get an education before you post here. You are perfect proof that any slimeball can post anything on the internet. Can you prove a single claim you make? Be forewarned: I can. So tread carefully around me, sluggo. I'm you're worst nightmare because I know -- and state -- the truth. You, on the other hand, spew hate-filled vomit that doesn't meet a single legal standard. I can, if I wished, find out who you are, and sue you for defamation. Unless you want to spend the rest of your life working for me, you had better take heed. By the way -- if you have any association with the California Institute of Technology, it is only because you are a janitor or a security guard. Faculty or student or administrator or clerical support you are not. That much, I have investigated. Just so you know. Did that when you professed to be in some way affiliated with Stanford. You were lying then; you are lying now. Work on your syntax and usage. They do not constitute functional literacy.
4. And who is going to investigate the UN's responsibility
BUILD BABY BUILD !!!   (10.22.14)
for allowing the storage of their buildings as arms cache's and returning rockets to Hamas after being discovered? Why no prior investigations of Hamas and the kidnapping and murder of three Jewish teens? The UN's role is not without bias, their sole critiques of Israel make them co defendants with the pals and both have blood on their hands. KEEP BUILDING G-DS COUNTRY.. ISRAEL !!!

Yes, I did. If you are referring to the casual tossed-off "and the use of the school to store weapons," it doesn't pass the laugh test. UNRWA allowing Hamas to store weapons in a United Nations civilian facility is a clear violation of the United Nations Charter. UNRWA knowing the missiles were going to be fired at Israeli civilian population centers, and allowing Hamas to do so from the United Nations facility makes the UNRWA criminally culpable in the commission of war crimes. UNRWA knew full well that the use of a facility -- whether United Nations-sponsored or otherwise -- in order to store weapons and then using that facility as a launch site turns that facility into a legitimate military target. Israel is a sovereign state and has an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens. The UNRWA deliberately encouraged civilians to seek shelter in the school, knowing full well that it would come under attack. That constitutes a crime against humanity. So a single, simple, offhand, casual remark to the effect of looking into why the school was actively being used to cache weapons and why the school served as a missile launch site just isn't enough. Moon needs to be talking in much stronger terms, i.e., an investigation into why the UNRWA was complicit in the commission of war crimes and an investigation into why the UNRWA deliberately put civilians in harm's way, thus committing crimes against humanity. What the UNRWA didn't count on was the very clear satellite and drone photographs showing missiles being brought into the school under the watchful and protective eyes of the UNRWA, and showing civilians being ushered into the school by UNRWA agents, and showing missiles being fired at Israeli population centers from the school's courtyard. Israel's satellite and drone photographs have been corroborated by the reports of several independent news broadcasters, who even photographed the events in real time. They match the real time satellite and drone photographs perfectly. The United Nations is highly embarrassed, and rightly so. It is trying bluff and bluster and twisting the focus so as to fault Israel. That isn't going to work. Not this time. Of course you're too dumb to recognize the ramifications. But I assure you they exist, and they will not serve the United Nations and the UNRWA in good stead. UNRWA is far too bloated. That's going to change.

The fact that Israel's actions are being investigated at all is pure travesty. The photographic evidence -- satellite, drones and the independent accounts of journalists -- fully support Israel's account of events. Never, ever forget that the sovereign State of Israel's absolute right and affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens is PARAMOUNT. What happened here is that the United Nations, and its best-funded agency, the UNRWA, got caught red-handed with its proverbial pants down around their ankles. Ban Ki-Moon doesn't have a case. He can investigate all he wants; the proof against the United Nations and the UNRWA are damning and prima facie. Moon should be haled into court and tried for criminal compliance in the commission of war crimes. Sovereign immunity does not cover war criminals.
