"Gained many friends in Africa?" Do tell. Have you checked their voting records in the United Nations? No one is interested in lip service friends. You are either a friend or you are not. Do you remember how quickly all the African states clambered aboard the OPEC boycott of Israel? If you are a friend of Israel, then you need to vote in support of Israel. There is no "dual loyalty" in the United Nations. Not even an abstention would work. Vote in favor of a resolution, or vote against it. Then Israel can make the proper determination as to who is worthy of Israeli assistance, and who is not. Quiet diplomatic "assurances" in an attempt to curry favor with the Arab and Moslem states no longer works. Let them build irrigation systems in Africa; let them teach drought farming and hydroponics to African states. Let the Arab states provide modern, advanced medicine. Let the Arab states build their roads and highways. What benefit has Israel ever received in return for its incredible generosity? So why are we still being incredibly generous with money better spent on Israelis? Have we all of a sudden run out of poor Jews, anywhere in the world? Charity begins at home. Time for someone else to be charitable to the African states. They take Israel's assistance hand over fist, and give nothing in return. Let's see just how quickly the Arab and Moslem states (or anyone else, for that matter) jump in to pick up the slack.
