Perfect name, Ditz. Why do you create an artificial distinction between the ancient Kingdom of Israel and the modern State of Israel? The only time that the land which you doubtless call Palestine was sovereign was when it was the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judaea, and the modern State of Israel. The Jews are the only true Palestinians, and all you have to do to discover that is to check the census records dating back as far as the Mamelukes. Only the Jewish people have ever been called Palestinian. Arabs -- marauding, invading foreigners -- have always only been called "Arab" or "Bedouin." Never -- NEVER -- Palestinian. That appellation belongs exclusively to the Jewish people. You have fallen victim to the grand Arab bluff. They had control of the Al Aqsa mosque for centuries. So, if they love it and worship it all that much, why was it allowed to fall into the dismal condition in which the Israelis found it in June 1967? Israel spent millions of dollars to repair and refurbish that hideous blue monstrosity. Seems to me that if you truly venerate a house of worship, you take care of it. Yet, for centuries, the Moslem hordes, the Ottoman Turks and the ersatz "palestinians" did nothing of the sort. I submit that the only time it became important to Moslems was when Israel unified Jerusalem in 1967. The Jews have been far more generous to Moslem -- and Christian -- holy places than the Moslems and the Christians have ever treated Jewish houses of worship. Please do not forget (assuming you ever knew) that the Jordanians -- who are issuing such outraged statements these days -- are guilty of having blown up forty-seven synagogues in 1948, including the ancient and beautiful Hurva Synagogue. So, can you think of a single reason that the Jewish people -- having been restored to our ancient homeland after millennia of vicious persecution and murder, culminating in the Holocaust -- should not tear down that blue monstrosity and rebuild our Temple? That mosque is scarcely a house of worship -- it is used to store weapons. Weapons which are used to terrorize Jews. You are heavily uninformed, and extremely misguided. May I respectfully suggest that you acquire an education before you pour bilge on the threads in this Forum?

4. Whats happened to Palestinian Statehood?

Ask Abbas Before this last Gaza War...the focus..indeed the only option was an Independent State in an expanded West Bank with Territory transferred from NE Israel in exchange for Settlement Land plus additional Land Purchases from Jordan Despite the public spats and acrimony and spoilers from both sides - all issues were resolvable Then with Hamas seeing they might be left out...sent Mashaal to seal a Unity Marriage effectively stopping the West Bank from going it alone and when that marriage was going sour they ....started another war So where are we now? We certainly have more options - going it alone in the West Bank, integrated with Gaza, or creating an entirely new single State in an expanded Gaza. Unfortunately the greater the choice, the more the prevarication What Abbas needs to do is NOT take it upon HIMSELF to decide but put it to a Referendum to the Palestinian People. And if Hamas don't....that's OK. The Palestinians in the West Bank will transparently and democratically decide their own future and Gaza can follow anytime they feel ready
5. surrender
(11.14.14)
So there is unlimited Muslim access to the Temple Mount, but are Jews allowed to visit? No? So actually Netanyahu surrendered to Hamas/Fatah violence by giving them what they wanted.

You write,"So, can you think of a single reason that the Jewish people -- having been restored to our ancient homeland after millennia of vicious persecution and murder, culminating in the Holocaust -- should not tear down that blue monstrosity and rebuild our Temple? Well here are a few, it would alienate Israel from the world, it would result in the loss of life for Jews and Palestinians, it is an unnecessary waste of money, it would hasten the delegitimazation of Israel., it would draw the now warring factions of Islam together to face the greater challenge of an Israel that abrogates its treaties with Jordan et. al. We really have much more to fear from the likes of the settlers, rightest nationalists the Likud and the simplistic thinking of the air headed Sally Babesthan we do from Hamas, or Hezbolla. They will destroy Israel long before out enemies ever could.
