1. What can we do within the law?
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.18.14)
Life Imprisonment for murder is one punishment - but simultaneous heavy fines can be legally be imposed on the offenders as well as their controllers and supporters and if unpaid the bailiffs can be employed to take way their cars, their assets, their homes and their businesses if necessary Clearly this applies across the board for any Israeli Citizen committing such brutal murders and those who control or support or incite them Meanwhile anyone seen Ms Finger Pointy Zoabi today? Or now with time on her hands reduced to Walking the Streets on Demos for some cheap political limelight and gain? What embarrassing Finger Pointy Pointlessness
2. Tim (1), Enough
Erich ,   Jerusalem   (11.18.14)
I believe you mean well, Tim, but you clearly have no understanding of the world we in Israel inhabit. The Arabs won't be deterred by threats of life imprisonment. They get a sick pleasure out of murdering Jews knowing they will killed in the process. The problem in Israel today is a lackluster leader who craves world approval and his lackeys running the security and defense apparatus. The PM wants to convince the world that Iran is evil (not that it isn't) and the newspapers in Israel want to debate whether to call the recent killings a new intifada or not, but the bottom line is that Jews are being killed on a nearly daily basis by Arabs and the government is failing to do its basic job of defending its citizens.
3. Palestinians live with terror 7/24
Baruch Goldstein   (11.18.14)
4. Israel needs more checkpoints
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (11.18.14)
They must set up checkpoints between East Jerusalem and West. No Arab from East Jerusalem should be allowed in without being searched for weapons.
5. #1 Tim this isn't Brighton sea front
David ,   Israel   (11.18.14)
Despite your good intentions im sorry to say you are a bit clueless as to the reality on the ground in Israel.
6. erich, you said it all.... exactly!
jew ,   europe   (11.18.14)
Simply .. jews are korbanot of goverment...
7. So when does the Israeli gov't enforce the rule of law?
Shep ,   Memphis, TN - USA   (11.18.14)
From my side of the computer screen I don't hear any Israeli Arabs distrancing themselves from the daily atrocities being perpetrated by innocent Israeli. Netanyahu HAS to get the Attorney General to go before the Supreme Court to create a political deterrent to this madness. The Israeli Arabs have a right to protest, but they don not have a right to riot against the state. They either need to be neutralized on the spot or captured and deported permanently along with their families.
8. Pass a law to expell the rioters and their families
Shep ,   Memphis   (11.18.14)
The IDF needs to: A) set up checkpoints all over East Jerusaleum B) kill the terrorists on the spot C) deport the families of terrorists D) deport rioters and their families Why exempt Israeli Arabs from acting within the rule of law? Are you people frick'n nuts? It looks like Isreal is losing control of this outbreak and have no answers other than "it will simmer down"! Carrot and Stick - with more stick than carrot.
9. This is why
Ed Stack   (11.18.14)
the Haredi should serve in the army so they can be armed and defend themselves on the spot
10. Concealed Carry?
Christy ,   Boston, US   (11.19.14)
Is it legal to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon? If so, I'd get one and start target practice to be safe and efficient. If it doesn't - why not? Could limit the permits to ex-IDF who were in good standing. I don't own a weapon, but I'm glad to know there are many people around me who do and who go to the shooting range to stay sharp.
11. synagogue terror
Bob Johnson ,   Dallas USA   (11.19.14)
I recommend that the IDF have a 48 hour cessation of morality, ethics and restraint !!!
