1. Bennett totally clueless
Miriam   (12.07.14)
2. Dear lady, Indyk's, result do count,
Jay   (12.07.14)
Dear lady, Indyk's, result do count, he failed miserably, and you failed to understand it because you are clueless, Sorry
3. Bennett
David   (12.07.14)
Bennett was certainly correct, I believe, about the preference of Israeli Arabs in Jerusalem for Israeli, rather than Palestinian, authority. This is not a matter of conjecture, as he implied for whatever reason, but actually a fact that has been repeatedly established in opinion polls. It's not that this is where Israeli legitimacy to Jerusalem comes from, but it certainly demolishes the implication that the whole international support for Palestinian nation-hood is about promoting someone's human dignity, when in fact it is principally about seeking to appease an alternative nationalism that is everything that its supporters falsely accuse Israel of being-- ahistorical, colonialistic, eliminationistic, and intolerant. Most people I believe intuitively understand this, including the supporters of the idea. Look no further than the weapons they use to criticize us today-- appealing to our universalism and humanistic values. Even Bennett-- the representative of the most "hardline" position in Israeli politics, fell over himself trying to appeal to universalism, amidst his defense of a Jewish state. Anyway, I'm not sure he gave the best performance. He is basically right about a lot, but too polite to be frank.
4. Indyk is bribed by Qattar & Arab Oil!
Benny ,   Iran   (12.07.14)
Indyk, like Carter has sold his soul to the "greasy oily filthy rich Arabs who support the terror of Abbas & his lunatic fringe & his ilk." They support giving most of Israel to the Arabs; they want to sacrifice Israel for the money they pocket from the Arabs,They want Israel to go back to the 1967 Auschwitz borders. Indyk is a traitor to the Jews & like Carter promote terror & are a shame & a stain to the jewish world.
5. Really Mr Indyk
Rina   (12.07.14)
You have freedom of speech in this terrible unsolvable problem of ours - obviously in favor of the enemies of Israel, without paying a price?
6. joke...
David   (12.07.14)
I watched the whole video. There was a moment when Bennett talked about the fact that Israel is a special place to be Jewish, and that there are other places where Jews could live if they just wanted nice weather, like Perth, Australia. Indyk muttered something about how Perth (his hometown?) also has snakes. If I were Bennett, I would have said that it has one less snake than it used to have. Bless the good people of Australia for being rid of him.
7. One way to solve whether Palestinians still want to be
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (12.07.14)
occupied and treated as second class citizens is to do what has happened in Scotland and hold a referendum on a one state solution with equal rights for all. If everyone abides by the results then this will be the be the solution to the problem that Bennett insists does not exist.
8. A different reality...
Even_Balance ,   Beit Yehoshua   (12.07.14)
I, for one am rather relieved that Bennett and Indyk are living in very different realities. Indyk is picking up a million dollar 'retainer fees' from the Gulf-funded Brookings institute, so no surprises where his loyalties lie... To quote the New York Times: "Qatar, the small but wealthy Middle East nation, agreed last year to make a $14.8 million, four-year donation to Brookings, which has helped fund a Brookings affiliate in Qatar and a project on United States relations with the Islamic world. Some scholars say the donations have led to implicit agreements that the research groups would refrain from criticizing the donor governments..." 9. Indyk trying to sell US as Israel's victim only
Miron ,   USA   (12.07.14)
plays on hand Anti - Semites. I don't feel safe about Israel, Israelis, and Jewish nation, when Americans talk this way. This American guy has to learn his limitations. This is not normal, passing such latent threats in election interviews. It's absolutely uncalled for and unworthy of America. And I want to see all parties in Israel, and all honest people in US making it's clear to Mr. Indyk that passing US for Israel's victim is not what is expected of him.
10. Bennet+Indyk both out of touch.
Sam ,   Canada   (12.07.14)
Unlike Bennet most Jews prefer peace.Indyk is out of touch believing Palestinians accept a Jewish Israel and blaming settlements as the problem. The reality is Palestinians want to be given a state while rejecting one for Jews. Nothing changes until Palestinians change their mindset. The West tries to do it with free concessions but is afraid to press Palestinians for any concessions of their own.
11. Respect, Mr. Indyck, is a two-way street
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (12.07.14)
As in his speech on Yom Kippur at a Washington, DC synagogue, Indyck continues to harp about Israel's alleged "disrespect" of senior US officials like Kerry. Bennett could have reminded him that respect is earned, and is a two-way street. Kerry's words in late 2013 about a "third intifada" only encouraged and legitimized Palestinian unrest, while those in early 2014 suggesting the threat of sanctions and boycotts (but only on Israel!) if the peace talks failed, did likewise to encourage such actions. Kerry deserved to be called out for that. Meanwhile, the US apparently thinks they can use anonymous slurs against Israel's PM and other leaders. Why, because they don't go along with foolish US policy? Who's living in the false reality, if not Indyck?
12. Indyk wants respect
(12.07.14)
indyk and the rest of the obama white house have shown extreme hostility and disrespect toward israel and the prime minister. indyk himself has blamed Israel exclusively for the failed "peace process." yet he wants respect.
13. INDIK
carlos ,   San Diego CA   (12.07.14)
lives in limbo. He is an ideologue, a dogmatist a superficial ignoramus. He is not respecting the sovereignty of Israel. The palestinians want to destroy Israel and the new reality is that the Arab countries are IMPLODING and loosing their political power due to the oil.
14. I give Bennett credit for standing up for Israel
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.07.14)
Indyk is an obvious foe of Israel. I give Bennett credit for standing up for Israel. We should only elect MKs who can do so.
15. Indyk showed his real - ugly - side.S
Shep ,   Memphis   (12.08.14)
So to Indyk, according to this article, the U.S. government is offended that Israeli leaders speak in a straight forward manner directly to the media......while Obama sends his cabinet to the media to make anonymous statements calling Bibi a "chickenshit". Indyk can kiss my Jewish ass. Israeli lives are on the line and he's worried about "egos". That demonstrates how low Obama's foreign policy has become.
