By all accounts Yishai is an honorable, patriotic man, with the interests of the entire nation at heart-- and a person who has earned more public trust than Deri, who by contrast has shown himself to be not only of questionable personal ethics, but repeatedly of questionable attachment to the integrity of Israel's borders. That said, one has to hope-- I speak for myself at least-- that the voters who traditionally vote for Shas will not lose representation in the Knesset as a result of this fragmentation. If there is an Orthodox bloc in parliament-- and it is understandable that there should be, as there is an Orthodox constituency-- it should be a large one led by the honorable Yishai.
