1. Let's make sure ...

... that the Israelis and Jews in Nepal are safe, medically treated if necessary, and then evacuated. We can worry about everyone else later. I don't see the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or Europe in the picture, do you? Certainly not Russia and China, and they are close. Pathetic, really. Israel should look after our own first. Everyone else comes in second best. Sorry. That's just how it should be. Got a problem with that? Too bad. Ask yourselves why YOUR country hasn't done a damn thing and Israel already has boots on the ground.

According to the BBC World Service countries around the world are sending aid. And if someone is half buried underground I hardly suggest leaving him as is to find an Israeli casualty. Can we kindly stop being so self-righteous for a change - it's nauseating already?

All of the countries you mentioned, and more, have either sent, or are sending, rescue teams to Nepal.

Jews are notorious for helping others in need. However, Jews should be the first ones to receive help from Israel's talented teams. G-d bless Israel and, where's the other teams that should be there?

Other countries have pledged money (not all that much, either, considering the magnitude of the disaster). How does Nepal vote in the United Nations, by the way?

Some years ago, there was an Israeli vessel that lost its hydraulics in a storm. The vessel was foundering. There were four vessels within easy sailing distance; upon learning that the vessel was a Zim (Zodiac) cargo ship, all chose to ignore the MayDay, which violates every law I know of governing assistance on the high seas. The vessel went down, all hands. There was another Zim vessel, the MINERAL DAMPIER, which was cut in half in the South China Sea by another vessel which failed to observe port/starboard regulations concerning how vessels pass one another at sea. There were hundreds of fishing smacks around, plus the big dry bulk vessel which cut the MINERAL DAMPIER in two -- the HANJIN MADRAS. No one stopped to pick up survivors. The entire crew of the MINERAL DAMPIER was lost. So don't tell ME there aren't perfectly good reasons for Jews to look after our own FIRST.
