miriam ,   israel   (07.07.15)
Prime Minister - can be in charge of five ministries. I had no idea that he had appointed himself to head all five ministries and thought that he had just taken over the Foreign Ministry ! Why hasn't this been dealt with sooner ? Knesset members have fallen asleep this long while.

Reuven ,   Netanya   (07.07.15)
to remove ministers and tell Bibi what to do? The so-called high court is getting out of hand and should be removed immediately.
8. Dear functional illiterates spewing stupidity...
Sally Forth ,   Israel   (07.07.15)
what part of legislated change to the "Basic Law: The Government" don't you people understand? IT IS A LEGISLATED AND LEGAL CHANGE NOT A JUDICIAL DECISION.

10. in answer to #7 Reuven, the genius, from Netanya
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.08.15)
Why have a Supreme Court at all ...simply abolish it. This leads me to a happy hypothetical thought that maybe one day a radical left wing government will be in power in Israel and will pass a law decreeing that people like Reuven are fascist criminals to be automatically sentenced to life imprisonment. The government has the exclusive right to legislate this without any interference from the Supreme Court (and then Reuven will not even be able to write stupid talkbacks from his jail cell)
11. #7 - Checks and balances of powers
Avi L.   (07.08.15)
It's called separation of powers. It's a safety mechanism. Even in the Army a MD has the authority to remove anybody from the field, even a a commander, due to medical/psychiatric issues. There should be one at PM office too. Let's remind that the PM isn't a caliph or a tsar, but a public servant too and he is subject to the rule of the law. In ancient Rome during a general triumphal parade there was a slave whispering into the commander's ear "remember that you are a mortal too". Nowaday this could be easily done with a simple app in his smartphone. Problem is that roman generals ended up being dictators. That's why the likes of Jefferson created this mechanism of checks and balances, drawing, among others, from Montesquieu "The Spirit of the Laws"
