It's far easier for the Jewish baby boy who is circumcised at 8 days old than the Muslim boy of 7 (at least) and suggesting that "boys should chose what they want" when they are adult is nonsense. Parents are free to chose but to claim that this is immoral is a stain on those who chose to circumcise their sons in the tradition of our people. That he will be physically different from his father and his brothers and the effect it will have on his future relationships with them. I am in no doubt that as he grows up he will regard himself as either something superior or inferior. One thing for certain he will have a very different view of himself. For me as a father it would be the most important factor. I would want any child of mine to regard himself as a whole part of the family. If all the males in my family were not circumcised then it would be fine . But this is a thoroughly ill thought out decision based on the facts presented here.

Forget religion and science. For a young man with a healthy sex life the main question to ask is: Is circumcision rather helpful or not. My personal experience: It is. Women in those 'advanced' countries like Japan, Germany etc. who had sex with non-circumsized men only, and then have sex with acircumcized man, look at the male circumcision as something extremely positive. When asked they mostly cite: Better sex for themselves and cleanliness. So, circumcision might be worse for male sex sensitivity but apparently it helps women with their sex life. As always with science: Probably one day this fact will be scientifically proved. Only women who actually had sex with both kind of men can contribute to this topic. Israel is definitely not the right area for such a study (to many circumcized Jews and Moslems.....I am joking). This study could be only performed in 'advanced' countries (Europe, Singapore etc.). Let's wait for those studies and circumcize in the meantime.

I have never met a women who has said she prefers a non-cirumcised version. They have all uniformly said from aesthetic and practical functional reasons they prefer the circumcised one. I would be interested if any of the talkbackers who are women or indeed gay men disagree with this and prefer a non-circumcised member. I think the responses will conform to my experience with this, including my Polish Catholic wife.
