This is emblematic of the problem of extreme-left politics overtaking US academia, where even hatred and discrimination are considered laudable concepts if they are aligned with the politics of the political left, and those who become its targets face fierce attempts at personal delegitimization and destruction. Unfortunately, Israel cannot avoid being one of these targets, since leftist activists see themselves as aligned with Islamists for reasons of shared anti-Western beliefs, and the Islamists see all Jews in the Middle East as "settlers." The leftists end up trying to justify and support Islamist anti-Semitism in order to show solidarity with them, and because they dominate campuses by abusing authority and using brutal tactics, they get their way. This is a very serious problem resulting in very real hatred and bigotry on campuses against students and faculty who are openly Jewish and/or pro-Israel, and this vote demonstrates that a lot more needs to be done to fight that hatred. There is no justification for constantly singling out the people of the world's only Jewish-majority country for boycotts and attacks that would never be allowed against the people of any other country.

The fruit of decades of Leftist preaching is to be seen on US campuses. The protests, the 'safe spaces', the assault on reporters and groups like this AAA (which I never heard of). I've concluded from these, and other examples, the Left hasn't seen a lie it won't champion, adores attention and can't see most of the country is laughing at them. - - - It's only fair those who boycott Israel get placed on a list where they are refused entry to Israel.
