I believe that giving her a very light sentence harms all Israelis. First she did an act that deserves punishment - if anyone else did it, they would have gotten a much harsher sentence.
Also, such a light sentence, if it is a sentence at all, shows that the Israel 'justice' system is not just. It gives special considerations to the enemies of the state while us Israeli citizens must suffer the full consequences of our actions.
Basically it is showing a double standard; one for Israelis and one for Arabs - and we Israelis are on the bottom!
