Israel can defeat the BDS movement, restore Israel's international support and legitimacy and undermine the Arab pretence of 'resistance' in one simple action: abandon the settlements. Maintain the military occupation until a credible treaty is in place but make it very clear that Israel is not (contrary to appearances over the last 20 years) trying to confiscate the West Bank. Only then will BDS be stopped. Lose the settlements or lose the state.

yet one must never forget that the many contributions of peres to the young jewish state cannot be overstated. unfortunately peres's ideology and his seeming lack of understanding of islam and muusslim culture led him to accept the disasterous oslo ageement. peres is still optimistic, a wonderful quality in a person of his age, but his optimism is based somewhat on utopia, or delusion.

Why would Europe come to terms with reality and terrorism After all did they think Germany was a real threat in 39. They all woke up after the fact- not before.
