1. Becoming our enemy

Becoming our enemy, when will soldiers allowed to take slaves and sell them as ISIS does?

Helping our enemies, are there already full pages on anti zionist media reporting this?

Sabotaging chain of command, when will the first soldier disobey direct order based on "halakah"?
2. Religious parties blackmail beyond this?
Avi L.   (07.13.16)
Did Bibi twisted Eisenkot's arm in order to keep this coalition of minorities and himself as arbiter of political destiny of a bunch of minions?

This way the IDF rabbis will become the new "religious commissars" like in the former USSR where "political commissars" were in charge of communist orthodoxy.

Can't believe it, once more thanks Bibi for nothing.
3. Media Skeptic

To all the commentators. Do you believe everything you read? If so then I have a bridge for sale. The media is guilty of promoting their own agenda which is to cause controversy. I happen to know, through a very close aquaintance of the rabbi, that he's a dedicated soldier and a Zionist - perfect for the job. Eisenkot is no idiot, and he stands behind his choice. That should tell you something. The Rabbi certainly spoke on the topics highlighted, but as usual the media spins controversy by omission. They don't tell the whole story. Too bad the press can't get sued for slander like the rest of us. They might then be more complete with their reporting.

Good for Eisenkot! I hope he sticks to his 'er guns!
4. Avi L #2, not a shred of evidence to back up what you say
Jake ,   כפר סבא   (07.14.16)
There is no shred of evidence that Netanyahu coerced or even tried to convince Eizenkot to support this choice of IDF rabbi. It is Eizenkot's decision and choice. Everything about Eizenkot shows that he stands firmly and resolutely in areas where IDF has jurisdiction, and does not let others push him around.
You are simply aping the editorial staff here in looking for any excuse to have a good-old "Bibi bash".
