1. State and class action prosecution

State should prosecute him and class action civil cause for damages, it's a crime he commits, religion or not.
2. LGBT

What does the learned Rabbi suggest the penalty for being gay should be ? How about putting them in a concentration camp ? That was the punishment ordered by the Nazis ..Intolerance, bigotry and fanaticism should be the last thing a Jew should have !
3. Class action and removal from role of IDF Chief Rabbi

Everyone is free to agree, disagree and agree to disagree, but HATE SPEECH and INCITEMENT should not be condoned.

Shabbat Shalom!

You should say "Shabbat shalom to all Jews." Judaism teaches to hate the sin, not the sinner -- no matter what you believe the sin is or who the sinner is. And by the way, if there was on Earth someone who was such a Tzadik that he never sinned even once, than most likely Moshiach would be here and we would be living in a totally different reality -- one where Jews would not hate, be hateful or say hateful things to other Jews!
5. Why single out the LGBTQ community!?!?
Ben ,   Beer Sheva   (07.22.16)
There are a lot more soldiers who do not keep kosher and who do not keep Shabbat, who masturbate, etc... than LGBT soldiers. Why has he made it his personal mission to attack the LGBTQ community!? Is is a past of being abused as a child and than thinking that all gays are perverts!? IS it latent homosexuality!? What is it?
6. The author should change the title
Alex ,   Beer Sheva   (07.22.16)
A more accurate title would be "Rabbi Levinstein stands by sinat chinam (gratuitous hatred) remarks."
7. The only good thing...
Ben ,   Beer Sheva   (07.22.16)
The only good thing that will come out of this, B"H, is that this rabbi can probably kiss his promotion and salary raise goodbye. And he should blame it on three things: 1. His sinat chinam (gratuitous hatred), 2. His ego and 3. Divine providence. May this Shabbat bring more unity despite this rabbi's attempt to promote hatred and division. Shabbat shalom!

That's the pride of some self-righteous sinners in the religious community. This rabbi will laugh (like you say). He will laugh his way out of his sought-after IDF career and then he will cry that he was an egotistic hate-filled grade A a**hole. The good thing about the times of Moshiach is that all the trash is coming out. All the hate is coming out and many in the religious communities will have to deal with the ugly side of their personality, which is hatred, judgement and self righteousness. Just remember next time you judge that while you're looking at someone with your two judgy eyes, there are thousands of eyes looking back at you and that's not me saying it -- our Sages of blessed memory have said so. Shabbat shalom and may Shabbat sweeten judgement upon Am Israel as a whole.
