1. Let's hope the religious will not offend him & make him run
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.05.16)
A kibbutz is wonderful as an isolating gate to Israel, but he will face many obstacles on the outside. Clearly, after Hollywood and California, he will not be enamored by right wing ideas and politicians in Israel. If he stays and when he figures out what it takes to get married in Israel, no doubt he will become disgusted with the rabbinate. But Israel is changing and despite the current Israeli leaders may be changing fast enough for acceptance by Mr. Houston Mack, hopefully so.
2. Nice: from what looks like a child-actor to a real man!

3. If he gets wounded he will have better healthcare in Israel
Rivkah   (11.05.16)
and less hassle about getting a disability pension than in the USA, too. A disabled IDF veteran I know who took two bullets on the Golan Heights, one to the vena cava of the heart has a disability pension and medical coverage even in his fifties. He is unable to work except as a Torah teacher at a little congregation in Farmersville, California (Tabernacle ben David). He is borderline congestive heart failure perpetually but haShem has kept him alive supernaturally. Many Mexican farmworkers are genetic Jews from their ancestors fleeing to Mexico from persecutions long ago. It is great to have someone lead them back to their roots and faith in the Torah (Song of Moses in Revelation 15:3 which is required for eternal life along with the Song of the Lamb). Daniel David Montoya's brother Michael is an IDF officer presently and was lucky not to become disabled.
