from the fight, even if they are jobnikim. Political elites and the western liberal consensus cut the cojones off that fighting force a long time ago. Fortunately here in the States we have the 2nd Amendment and Mr. Trump, who's going to put the US embassy in Jerusalem, right where it belongs. When that happens those IDF kids better not be running away from the fight.
2. Dispersing, as not to present a clear, small target would

make sense.... but I doubt if that was the collective thought, or that someone gave that order in almost an instant...?
3. there is something very wrong with this picture
C   (01.09.17)
it is obvious that the cadets were not trained to deal with a situation where
a truck is used as a terror weapon.
yet the use of trucks as terror weapons is known.
it is the fault of the upper echelon of the idf who are scared of
foreign state actors and as such diminish the capabilities and the training
of soldiers.

it is imperative that the leaders of the idf plan for all eventualities, rather
than be reactive.
as posted previously, the rules of engagement need to be changed.
4. taking cover is not fleeingg
Wade ,   Beit Shemesh   (01.09.17)
Self preservation made soldiers get out of the way as initial reaction. Those who were in a position to respond did. You can't have 40 soldiers shooting at the target and maybe at each other. Kol Hacavod to IDF.
