1. Who is desparate
Martin SA ,   glenhazel RSA   (02.08.18)
Perhaps leader of labour G is. Naughty but not unforgivable to receive gifts.
2. What's worse: that Bibi is right or that Alsheikh tells the

truth?
3. Time for quiet
BAB ,   Jerusalem   (02.08.18)
There's probably some truth in whatever is being said, but quiet on both sides (BiBi and Alsheich) is the order of the day. Otherwise, we will go down the path of Trump et al., shaking the public trust in national institutions.
4. What bribery for which favors in return?
Steve Benassi ,   Minneapolis USA   (02.08.18)
If Netanyahu didn't give in return for gifts any favors from State coffers there is no bribery case
5. Churchill too received many times cigars and whisky as gifts

6. bibi's "goetterdaemmerung"
tomer ,   jerusalem   (02.08.18)
If you look at great human civilizations, from the Roman Empire to the Soviet Union, you will see that most do not fail simply due to external threats but because of internal weakness, corruption, or a failure to manifest the values and ideals they espouse. Corruption, embezzlement, fraud, these are all characteristics which exist everywhere. It is regrettably the way human nature functions, whether we like it or not. What successful economies do is keep it to a minimum. No one has ever eliminated any of that stuff.
The fight for justice against corruption is never easy. It never has been and never will be. It exacts a toll on our self, our families, our friends, and especially our children. In the end, I believe, as in my case, the price we pay is well worth holding on to our dignity.A vibrant civil society can challenge those in power by documenting corruption or uncovering activities like the murder of political enemies. In democracies, this function is mostly performed by the media, NGOs or opposition parties.Luckily in Israel
we still have independent media, investigative journalismn, functional police and justice organs etc despite the fact that they are under heavy pressure
from public office holders, ruling parties and criminal elements.

7. Bibigate
leon rosen ,   Hod Hasharon   (02.08.18)
Any decent, honest politician would respect the police and resign his position until the inquiry is completed. The corrupt nature of Israel's leadership, particularly under Bibi's leadership, has been clear for all to see. It is time for him to go, ( even to prison where so many other 'leaders' have been). The country desperately needs a rapid return to democratic, law abiding society at all levels.
8. Bibi is GOD, he doesn't answer to Druuuuuuucker!!!!!!!

9. bibi will have a trial where he can fight the charges
beryl   (02.08.18)
bibi is flaying around nervously knowing 100% that mandlebilt will indict him. the shock is that bibi is likely not the principal reason behind the alleged gifts scandal. however, if large numbers of fine cigars and champagne were given, not a few here and there, that that is unacceptable for someone on the public payroll.

bibi is fighting back rumors. one thing is for sure. he cannot take pressurize.likud should never have chosen him as pm. he simply lacks nerves and buckles whether on settlements, war tactics, whatever it is, he hides when a decision has to be taken. i knew even before he would cancel the annexation bill.

that he is pm for so many years is a reflection on Israelis. it is not a good reflection-weak, insecure, running to master obama, trump and putin. it is not a good reflection on Israelis.

vote for someone with some substance, some toughness, some leadership-vote for bennett. the rest are a collection of crybabies.
10. Netanyahu is NOT a tallis that is all blue!
Amalia Bye-Tita ,   Israel   (02.08.18)
He's a politician and by definition all politicians are dirty
