dear ben-dror, in my humble opinion you got something very wrong with
your article of "double-standards" and/or playing in the cards of BDS movement.
Natali portman, born in israel, having double citizen ship ,like thousands of israelis "loves the states but her heart is in jerusalem where she feels at home."She is an extraordinary talented and clever woman, sucessful internatioanlly as actress, involved in numerous charities and organisations to children, animals and other causes. The did things instead of only talking.
(which is ok for journalists ) and she has clear opions about politics in the states and israel or better to say about certain politicians and their ideology.
for her honestly, morals and ethics of public figures are what counts .
As such she has full rights to voice her objections to "events in israel" and that does not mean that she supports BDS.
She chose not to attend he "genesis price "and thats her full right. To construct from this " double-standards" or supporting BDS is flatly nonsense
and a typical "miri regev" stance. And about this you should have used your
braincells . Miri regev our israeli culture censor and her attemps to decide for all of us what we should see (the israeli film festival in paris with foxtrott as example ,which became a huge success after the regevs unintended promotion) or what we should hear .(like the completly disgusting 70th indepence appearance of our 14min speech PM) this is what bothers a lot of us, not natali portman's reusal to attend the genisis price ceremony.

tomer ,   jerusalem   (04.23.18)
can say what she feels and thinks. i suggest you investigate a bit more what
she did in her life. Much more than your sad, false comment you are able to produce.
34. Netanyahu is worthy of being snubbed
Score ,   Boston   (04.23.18)
The Israel Prize is a creature of the Prime Minister's Office. Portman has every right to boycott Netanyahu as American athletes have of refusing to appear at the White House to be congratulated by the US's orange version of Bibi.
35. Double standard against Jews definition of Antisemitism

36. Where was she when 7 imams in US called to kill Jews?

37. She's OK with China?
Joe Tairei ,   New York   (04.24.18)
Portman accepts Chinese awards and Chinese backers for her films and is looking forward to releasing her latest movie in China. China--a totalitarian country that is cracking down even tighter on its citizens' freedoms, now using social media apps to "score" them on obedience, a regime that has ruthlessly occupied Tibet for 60 years, ethnically cleansing it and absorbing it into the empire with zero regard for the native Tibetans who have absolute historical claim to the land -- unlike the nomadic Arabs.
38. Christians and Jews
Ynet reader ,   Atlanta   (04.24.18)
American Christians care for Israel more than American Jews
39. #38 You are right
Tova ,   Canada   (04.25.18)
I agree with you. I have observed that for alot of years. American Christians are becoming stronger and stronger for Israel.

And the American Jew is becoming less and less concerned for Israel.

Natalie Portman and many Jews like are being deceived. Hollywood and Fame will not bring peace to Israel.

I believe GOD is reaching out to Christians in America. As the Bible says that GOD will pour out his spirit until the time of the Gentile is fullfiled.

If you are a Christian may GOD bless you. In Yeshua
40. Lest we forget
Sam Lindover ,   Kelowna   (11.09.18)
As a queen Mrs. Portman presided over the capitulation of her people, leading to an occupation. As senator she cast the critical vote that led to the downfall of the Republic. In 2008 her solution to the financial crisis was puppy's. Let us perhaps not take things out of context.
41. Please feel free NOT to come
ez ,   Jerusalem   (04.11.19)
It is indeed saddening that someone I once admired , has thrown her lot in with the BDS even if she doen't admit it
42. The cost of having Israel
Dorian Hatchuel   (05.07.19)
Jews have two memorial days:
#YomHazikaron to remind us of the cost of having Israel.
#YomHashoah to remind us the cost of not.
