(04.24.18)
and it really isn't just in Germany it is ALL over Europe...there is NOTHING in the Tanackh that says a man must wear a Kippah...so when our family is in Europe the men keep the kippot in their pockets.

Who ever paskened halocha directly from the tanach? A reading of the tanach will not give you the laws of kashrus, will not tell you how to make tzitzis, will not tell you about tefillin... Following the tanach only is Karaism not Judaism
9. rabbi lau is wrong period
marla   (04.25.18)
tens of Jews get intimidated and shoved around, many of them haredi wearing skullcaps. Other Jews do not get pushed around. they walk upright, some of them are armed, others are trained in defense.bullies might not want to meet a challenge.

jews have to do more for their own protection and not wait for divine protection as lau orders. yes, it is hiding one's Jewishness;however bullies look to identify weaker minorities and the haredi fit that bill, not all of them, but enough of them.

all haredi have to go into idf or national service of some kind. and in public they should not wear religious attire. this can save lives.

and that is the imperative. rabbi lau is wrong.
10. Chief Rabbi Orders German Jews?
Rich ,   Toronto   (04.25.18)
He can make recommendations but he can‘t give orders. Jews are independent human beings who can decide for themselves what‘s best in their lives. I don‘t see him giving orders to the irreligious PM Netanyahu.
11. Kipa or not
John ,   Israel   (04.25.18)
It is not about wearing a kipa but about being Jewish.
The Jews should learn from the past and leave Europe.
