Lets put it this way, the officers decide whether the snipers use live ammunition or not. (Other ammunition can also cause fatalities, but far less)
In Afghanistan snipers have killed people as far as two kilometers away. Here the demonstrators are within half a km. of the fence. So live ammunition used close up is going to cause fatalities, These are not cases of a crowd storming the fence and entering Israeli territory, but people demonstrating within the Palestinian territory.

The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip can't do anything to hurt Israel. So they are flying these swastika kites in order to annoy silly people like you.

Mr. Yemini's suggestion that damage from the media could have been lessened if Israel had conveyed that Gaza's problems are the fault of Hamas had been conveyed by Israel. The media ignored that. Hamas and the PLO know that any protest against Israel generates negative publicity for Israel - which exists even outside of protests. As for the 15 year old being killed, Hamas had children and infants being brought to the protest - so it is a wonder even younger children had not been killed.
In my view, the IDF/Israel needs to respond quicker to the negative publicity - for example, the 15 year old or the press photo journalist killed. Are they part of Hamas? Don't leave it for others to speculate - tell the media. Why was the 15 year old shot? Was he a part of Hamas or was he doing something violent or was it an accident? A quick response is also needed against allegations that the UNHRC makes - and it needs to be loud and clear.
