There are countries that define themselves as Muslim states.
So why all the fuss about having a Jewish state?
Why is it ok for other nations to define themselves as they wish but somehow Israel is criticised for doing it.

Why does this happen with every major issue. First they rile everyone up with fake news. Than they eventually tell the truth after numerous articles inciting against Jews and reality? They want it recognized as a Jewish country. The problem is it says Jews shall "only" have the right of self-determination. Why not spell out exactly what that means, and since it's bound to be misunderstood or misinterpreted, say outright that it won't impede upon the personal rights of any minority? Why not explain everything, and introduce that law in that way?

The Nation-State Law is a beautiful thing! It is an act of Jewish self respect, and such acts are far too rare. It does not discriminate against anyone, as even its critics, with any wisdom, admit. Hopefully, it is a sign of a coming patriotic revolution, in Israel, which will transform our Homeland into the strong, gutsy, self respecting Jewish state we were meant to be.
