1. Haredim demonstrate against light rail construction works
lazerbenabba ,   London, England   (09.15.18)
Any family contemplating aliyah probably takes a step back when confronted by the Haredi behaviour; a vocal and intimidationg minority of Israeli society that holds the majority in contempt.
Religious dogmatism has no place in an Israeli Democratic society which blugeons those of the secular majority who support the tardiness and lack of national stakeholding of. the Ultra orthodox.
Let them stay in their yeshivas, shockle and dovan whilst the rest of the nation work to support and protect them.
2. Is it allowed according to the halakha...
(09.15.18)
to stage a political protest on shabbat? Aren’t we supposed to refrain from fighting on shabbat as well?
3. the ultra-Orthodox community
Alexander Scheiner ,   ZY, Israel   (09.15.18)
is the main enemy of the Jewish State from within. They abuse our democratic values, they benefit from our achievements but ultimately haredim are traitors and parasites. Fie!
4. Make them pledge an allegiance to the State for citizenship.
Michael ,   California, USA   (09.15.18)
The State and the laws of Israel must precede any other allegiances, including religion. The rabbis are residents of Israel like everybody else and must not rule over anybody. The Haredim aren't struggling against Sabbath work. They reject Israel, reject the country's institutions. It must never be tolerated! They are not citizens of Israel, don't accept the country's formation and its principles. Their teudot zehut ought to be taken away. Start immediately with those protesters today and send them to school for citizenship courses.
