1. put Tarek Mitri in a tunnel and fill it
(12.18.18)
with concrete. by his own logic, it is not murder because it is not visible on the surface
2. Hidden underground, so no violation.
tiki ,   belgium   (12.18.18)
Don't be surprised when the UN agrees!
3. If Israel had built tunnels underground to Lebanon, then
barbara ,   Haifa   (12.18.18)
the whole world would be suddenly (no sorry, as usual) against
Israel, with loud dissent ...
4. Delusional
Michael Lubetzky ,   Speicher   (12.18.18)
Tarek Mitri has the logic of a two-year old. Close your eyes and if you can't see it, it's not there. What an imbecile!
5. Tarik Mitri would make Goebbels proud.
David ,   Hartford USA   (12.18.18)
"Those aren't death camps, no way! They're transit camps to make the Jews' trip to the east more comfortable! Pay no attention to them!"

"Those aren't infiltration tunnels, no way!" They're, er, ventilation tunnels to make the ground cooler in the summer! The latest in Hezbollah technology, really! And besides, it's below ground so it doesn't count! Pay no attention to them!"

If only the UN would have the nerve to say, "Tarik, you are so full of camel dung that your eyes are brown. You are under arrest, as is the entire Hezbollah leadership."

But the UN is an Arab-block accomplice to this war preparation. Israel has every right and duty to bomb the living daylights out of every tunnel, all the way back to their entrances, where ever that may be.
6. Tunnels
samuel tayar ,   montreal   (12.18.18)
"The tunnels, which have been present for a long time, don’t constitute any evidence of violation of Resolution 1701,"

A better question is whether these tunnels are legal!
7. just one more filthy, lying politician
Rafi ,   US   (12.18.18)
Even when the truth is in front of their face
8. What's hidden under ground does not exist?
Juha   (12.18.18)
Why don't we take the guy who claims it, shoot him in the head with a service caliber weapon and put his dead body six feet under ground. After all, what's underground does not exist, so there would be no crime here, so long as his body is underground?
9. silly article
steve ,   beer sheva   (12.18.18)
So what should he say? Yes it was a gross violation and be murdered soon after!
When will the media understand that all Muslim societies are governed by fear (yes even Morocco) . No one will say the truth publicly so why ask them?
10. Mitri does not see it, so it does not exist
C   (12.18.18)
he does not see electrons either, yet electrons will be part of the
defeating army of the jewish state.
11. stop asking UN and lebanon to deal wih tunnelss
jim   (12.18.18)
just locate the tunnels. cross the border if necessary. bennett is correct about legal restrictions hampering idf fighting potential. softern up areas dramatically if war explodes. soften up areas like never before and keep the press out. no more jenin sacrificing your own troops.
12. deniable plausibility doesn't work in this case
Shep Fargotstein ,   Memphis   (12.18.18)
Lebanon may be worried that the U.N. Security Council will do something about the tunnels so the Lebanese strategy is to grasp at straws to evade punishment for allowing the tunnels. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE U.N.SECURITY COUNCIL DOES. Israel is going to do what they have to do in regards to making sure resolution 1701 is executed....and Hezbullah doesn't want a war cause they know that Israel will destroy every bridge, road and electrical station in the entire country. In the aftermath of Hizbullah's defeat, the people of Lebanon will hang every Hezbullah member from the highest tree. Just say'n.
13. Ridiculous
Ed ,   USA   (12.19.18)
Tunnels into Israel violate Israel's sovereignty and are therefore an act of war. UNIFIL is in Lebanon to prevent such acts.
