That being said, Public Housing at affordable prices should be instituted by The Government. Aside from a minority of well to do Israelis, the majority of Israeli Youth can't afford to buy an apartment....Prices are ridiculously high.
Considering the average salaries there are 1/4 to a 1/2 of American Salaries, the situation is impossible and becoming much worse.

If the rich have structured the economy to make billions, they have also structured the economy to make sure there is essentially no public housing, no welfare, no food stamps, To make matter worse Israelis in general do not have much Yiddishe Tam when it comes to compassion for the weak and helpless. The Maabarot and Vuzvuzim are proof of this.

if so many are poor, a third of the country, then why do they keep voting for right wing parties that have consistently proved themselves to ignore the poor in favor of the tycoons? If every poor person voted for the more sympathetic centre-left, then surely things could change for the better with socioeconomic matters for them?
