1. Author has an agenda, albeit a noble one. Poverty does exist
(02.04.19)
here, we have the bureau of statistics to attest to that.
Humanity hasn't been able to solve that phenomenon and I don't see it being solvable 100% any time soon.
But we are damn well off as a nation and that is what counts.
2. this country is plenty of
(02.04.19)
non-profit organizations, good-for-nothing.

If you are an Oleh Chadash, you know they don't work - but they welcome a donation via PayPal or things like that...

3. Not for Socialism or Big Government....
Koose E Mack ,   NY Great Satan   (02.04.19)
That being said, Public Housing at affordable prices should be instituted by The Government. Aside from a minority of well to do Israelis, the majority of Israeli Youth can't afford to buy an apartment....Prices are ridiculously high.
Considering the average salaries there are 1/4 to a 1/2 of American Salaries, the situation is impossible and becoming much worse.
Some Government intervention is necessary.
4. Price of everything, housing, clothing, food is crazy.
Jesus ,   NYNY   (02.04.19)
There is almost zero government support to help. If the rich have structured the economy to make billions, they have also structured the economy to make sure there is essentially no public housing, no welfare, no food stamps, To make matter worse Israelis in general do not have much Yiddishe Tam when it comes to compassion for the weak and helpless. The Maabarot and Vuzvuzim are proof of this.
5. You can have "crazy" prices, but if nobody pays you'll
(02.05.19)
reduce them fast.
Israelis are paying and kvetching at the same time.
Just look at the country; full of cars, brand new apartments, offices...the goods could've been in better supply, I agree.
Yes, there are cartels of few families sitting on most of our economy, but "the people" are well off. (vast majority of them).
6. Elections time: bring forth the cat-food eating lady ASAP!
(02.05.19)
7. Please,be more sophisticated in these pre-election times!
(02.05.19)
If you want to convey, that things could've been better, MUCH better then stop selling us this primitive, Soviet-style propaganda, about starving multitudes!
Yes, there are really poor people in Israel.
Name a place that doesn't have them.
As a country: we're almost perfect :-)
Let's work to improve our (and others) lives.
8. blame themselves
whataboutthem ,   TelAviv   (02.05.19)
if so many are poor, a third of the country, then why do they keep voting for right wing parties that have consistently proved themselves to ignore the poor in favor of the tycoons? If every poor person voted for the more sympathetic centre-left, then surely things could change for the better with socioeconomic matters for them? Are they not blaming others and ignoring their own inaction?
9. Meanwhile the Africans get fat here
Phoenix   (02.05.19)
The illegals get richer and fat
Don’t date taxes or health insurance use all our services for free.
10. SO WHAT'S THE ANSWER ?
TEL EM STRAIGHT ,   SAFED HONESTY   (02.05.19)
11. Millions of Israel have left and millions of Jews....
Jesus ,   NYNY   (02.05.19)
came and left, and never came at all because life is so hard for the lower class. There used be Kibbutzim and Developments now nothing.
12. It's the Knesset's......
The Archives ,   Kuala Lumpur   (02.09.19)
responsibility to ensure people who are incapable of fending for themselves who should be held accountable. In this election time, how should politicians campaign about this thorny issue? It is an important administrative matter as it would convey how the politicians would run the country to benefit all Israelites in general.
