My husband is an anesthesiologist. He was commuting 3 hours every time he went to work in which he often took 30 hour shifts, at least! Very intense work. When he finally had a prostate operation, he was so burned out after, he could only work half the time he used to work and fortunately, he was able to find a position in a nearby hospital, something which wasn't possible before -with unstable work hours, though. yet, his expensive disability insurance would only cover a small amount of the loss. Betuach leumi should provide free and mandatory vacations for a few days at a time to compensate our very dedicated overworked doctors/interns/nurses because of the great shortage and because they had better do SOMETHNG about killing our doctors!
