1. Run Barak, run. You're a blessing to Likud, thanks so much!
(06.27.19)
2. Of course we, the sane Right are grateful for Barak, but on
(06.27.19)
a personal level: this guy does not know what modesty or sanity or decency is!
How the heck did such a unhinged individual ever become our (albeit the worst) PM?!
We were more lucky than we were aware of back then, to have survived his disastrous (and short) reign!
3. barak wants to screw up again
mark   (06.27.19)
once was not enough as pm-not fighting terror, broken bodies, concessions that made arafat delirious, a disorderly pullout from lebanon, underequipping the marmora commando, weak responses to hezbolah. this is what barak has done so far.and his judgement that assad would be gone in months was worthless. he was against the syrian hit. he was a terrible, just terrible defense minister and prime minister.

now he wants to team up with gen golan who has no idea of how to negotiate, with aymen odeh who wants to destroy Israel .

bibi for all his faults is 100 times better than barak who was a disaster. that some Israelis would still vote for barak tells me that some of them have a death wish.

barak was a bloody disaster. i would not vote for him or golan even if hashem ordered it.

as for the louse olmert and his comments, they belong in his rear end. he has nothing to offer israel.

with barak and olmeret weighing in, bibi will likely win again.barak was and is a disaster.
4. Barak comeback
Alexiss999   (06.27.19)
Please, please give us new faces and new ideas, not old hashed up failed oldies hiding behind a ridiculous beard.
5. Barak says he doesn't want to make
Naor ,   Jerusalem   (06.27.19)
The same mistakes are not repeated- in that case turn around and go back to obscurity. In any case Israel needs another political party like a hole in the head!
6. examine barak's record
beryl   (06.27.19)
withdrawal from Lebanon-hasty, left lots of equipment over, hezbollah emboldened.
concessions-east Jerusalem and most of west bank to Arabs with shared arrangements-knife to israel's throat
fighting terror-abysmal with torn bodies everywhere
marmora commando operation-under armed and insufficient numbers
striking hezbollah targets-few and far between
syrian reactor-was against it at the start
assad-would be gone in months-dead wrong
usual line-don't test us- with arabs mocking him non stop

in short barak was a total faiilure as pm.now he is aided by gen golan, who is philosophically hung up on idf excesses while Jewish babies get bludgeoned. he is better suited to be a philosophy professor than a soldier.

golan also says he would join up with ayman oden in a show of democracy while odeh calls for the destruction of israel.

for the most part, generals make lousy leaders, terrible leaders.

while some civilian leaders have failed as well with olmert at the top of the list, a security dunce with no understanding of the battlefield and defensible borders, others were not bad like meir, eshkol had some good moments, ben gurion early.

barak is a terrible choice who makes bibi look good. you have to be out of your mind to vote for him.in fact if he gains entrance to the knesset, it would be an indictment of the jewish people.
7. Look who is talking
Oleg ,   Milwaukee   (06.28.19)
The guy run away from Lebanon, leaving behind Christians who supported Israel, the whole stuck of heavy weaponry and bringing Hezbollah shmucks right on the northern border.
8. Barak had a chance and became undoubtedly the worst PM.
art richman   (06.28.19)
Israel is good illustration how democracy of imbeciles looks. They are ready to vote for traitor whose hands are in blood of thousands murdered and maimed Israelis. He should be indicted for treason and executed but in the country of worthless cretins he is allowed to spew out monstrous lies. Woe to this country of insane and wicked.
9. WOW, this guy knows not what shame is, does he now?!!!!!!???
(06.27.19)
10. hippocrites
jody   (06.28.19)
labels are not the big issue here. security, economic prosperity, health care- international relations-this is what is important etc.

so many on the left want bibi out and anyone else to replace him. however, they should at least be honest to admit that ehud barak was a lousy pm, ineffectual for all his military glory, a weak and deluded pm. they don't have the honesty to admit that. so they welcome him back.

this is why bibi keeps winning. not so much because of him but because who he faces.

olmert was a military disaster from start to finish. livni couldn't negotiate any worthwhile hezbollah resolution. peretz didn't know anything about defense and so on.

now we have lapid who sat at the foot of olmert and is his disciple- a security dumbbell.

and gantz, a nice guy with poor performance in protective edge.

so this is why bibi keeps winning. and he'll win again if ehud barak really does run.
and general golan who has a right to be in politics is simply disconnected from reality of what hamas really wants.

recall one key image of barak's premiership. 2 idf soldiers wandered into a Palestinian town and were publically lynched by a wild frenzied mob. Israelis waited and waited for Israel to respond like bombing that town square into smithereens. but no, not ehud barak. he did it hygienically years later capturing the evil doer.for this, i would never vote for him or his party-never.
