we all know this from watching his slow, passive response to tunnels and lack of drive in the gaza war. Israel has much better generals. in fact, the current overrated general ehud barak picked him even as a compromise shows how far off the mark barak was. he should never have been selected-
mind you bibi was not much better, a man racked by fears. so Lieberman is correct-don't back any of them

gantz likely provided assurances to arab leaders that he would cancel bibi's nation state and construction amendment bills. these 2 bills are important.rumors are circulating that gantz told arab leaders to keep quiet about his commitments for fear of upsetting lieberman.

gantz and lapid are both returning Israel to oslo days, shrunken borders and more terror which is exactly what sinwar and nasrollah want.if hamastan arises on the west bank pursuant to gantz's policies, it will be the death of Israel. mark my words. and lapid is security dunce olmert arisen. he thinks he knows. he will be like peres, another security dunce who asked why hamas is firing rockets since Israel left Gaza!!!!

hamas is just thrilled with gantz and lapid. the media who despises bibi will be responsible for doing all it could to unseat likud. when broken bodies, butchered kids, and blood hits the streets in waves, the media should feel proud of itself.

gantz is not a general cut out from ariel sharon heroic stock.there are much better generals to lead israel. Or maybe there are not.

hopefully someone else arises to lead Israel, not bibi gantz and lapid.

The level of racism displayed in these comments, and worse in Israeli society as a whole (never mind by Bibi)--the right wing of it--is deeply dissappointing. Arab Israelis have, despite their difficult situation, have overwhelmingly been law abiding citizens as much as Jewish. Israelis. They are in roles like doctors and policemen and fill vital roles. Despite deep, institutional and popular discriminantion vanishly few have turned to terrorism. This cancer of racism against Arab Israelis has to be fought. This behavior is not acceptable for such a mainstream attitude in a country that considers itself Western and democratic. In this regard, many Israelis are no different from the rest of the Middle East--tribal in the extreme. Or anti-semites anywhere. Time to move forward, as President Rivilin himself has insisted.
