Disappointed in YNET. This is your lead story? Granted, it's an "opinion" piece. The author advances all manner of theories and ad hominem attacks without evidence or proof. How is Trump "unstable?" You mean removing less than 100 Special Forces soldiers from the highly vulnerable outpost is unstable? The author appears unaware that fruits of diplomacy can take years or longer to ripen. Does he posit that cultivation of relationships with heads of state the world over is useless or unwise?
2. Laying the Ground Work for the Future Gog Magog War
Karen Orr ,   The New Jerusalem   (10.17.19)
In Syria, look at the book of Ezekiel in the bible chapters 38-89 and look at Isaiah 17. God clearly said what He would do in the Last days and He is doing it now. Turkey is Gog, Persia is Iran, Sheba and Dedan are Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, will not defend Israel when this war comes. They will only protest lightly. Damascus will be a heap of ruin. It nearly is so already. Turkey attacking the Kurds is clearing the land of any people group that would hinder them and their alliance with Iran and Russia when they come to attack Israel for her oil and natural gas wealth. Pray people of Israel. Repent of your sins and God will be merciful to you. He will use these nations to chastise you, but will intervene on your behalf when you call upon His name, so that you will know that there is a God in Heaven who loves you!
3. "hostage"??? SHE's idiot who committed CRIME & should PAY!

4. Trump is the most disgusting creature to slither across...
Rafi ,   US   (10.17.19)
... the American stage in decades, certainly since Senator Joe McCarthy.

He's obviously going down... the only question is how much damage will he cause on the way.

Kurdish fighters & civilians are only the latest tragic casualty of this megalomaniac madman.

But what is equally shocking are the number of die-hard "lifers" who still support this excuse for a human being... including certain Ynet commentors here. They will make any excuse for Trump's outrageous and often CRIMINAL behavior.

It all makes you wonder if these individuals are not paid shills/ trolls for Trump or even his BFF Putin.

You listening fake Benassi, Chaim, Cameron, et al? - for whom ANYTHING Trump says or does is "OK"?
5. Still: there's absolutely nothing wrong with Netanyahu's
(10.17.19)
position vis a vis the two leaders.
It's politics and now we've entered different stage, that's not of Bibi's making.
Things have to be adjusted and adjusted to, that takes time.
It's so inane to criticize Netanyahu as if HE was an omnipotent World Leader and every glitch along the way somehow was his fault!
6. Blame bibi for democrat and US Jewry betraying Israel?
(10.17.19)
Sometimes this writer makes sense, other times he is just a hateful propagandist against the right wing in general.

I suppose its bibi s fault for Corbyn also?

Disgusting targeting of trump and Israel when the left wing in the USA according to poll, surveys, and actions words have gone so far left the republicans resemble liberal values while they have become authoritarian.

Remember your articles are used to incite hatred against Jews and Israel.
Says something about you....
7. The getaway of the American friend
Rabbi I. Lovetsky ,   Ukraine   (10.17.19)
The surprising flight of US forces from Syria has just created a gigantic power vacuum whereby Syria, the Kurds, ISIS, Turkey, Lebanon, Iran and Iraq are willing to fight with hundreds of thousands of dog-faced infantrymen.

With another of his spectacular displays of cynicism, Trump has claimed that the Syrian problem is not the US problem, which amounts to investing Russia with unquestionable authority to decide the course of events in the Middle East, an invaluable gift that will empower Russia not only in the hottest area of the planet, but also before the European Union, which very crudely will become aware of its immeasurable feebleness. But it won't be the only one.

In fact, overnight Israel has also been left alone in front of a group of enormously hostile countries that together add up to 230 million inhabitants, and without another valid interlocutor than President Putin, who could perhaps take advantage of such a favorable situation to force Israel to sit down to listen and endorse the Russian new peace plan.

Faced with such an overwhelming scenario, perhaps a military alliance between Saudi, the western countries of the Persian Gulf and Israel could be a convenient but unbalanced deterrent.
8. Talk about an agenda article.
DSM ,   USA   (10.17.19)
Where does Ynet find the authors of such ridiculous articles ? Trump is still the best international friend Israel has ever had.
9. bibi is a brilliant political operator yet extremely weak
mark   (10.16.19)
while bibi can pull a rabbit out of his hat politically, he is extremely weak when conditions become intense either discussions or war.

imagine in Moscow, Putin tells bibi to jump up and bibi would say how high, This after thanking Putin profusely for the deconfliction mechanism.

as for trump, he extols trump with overbearing gratitude before trump has done anything. bibi is so insecure that he grabs onto what he thinks will pump him up. he is weak where it counts and that is in security-very similar to olmert.

how many times has Bennett and other Israelis demanded bibi unleash the idf. bibi would not and then chase ceasefires favorable to hamas.

so Israelis are sick of him. they have no love for gantz and lapid either.in fact gantz would be a disaster.

lets go to new elections.
10. Netanyahu needs to retire...
(10.17.19)
Fact: he's failed to form a government twice
Fact: he can't even get a small favor out of Trump or Putin. After all the release of the Israeli-American stupid enough to carry drugs internationally is really small potatoes.
Fact: his Likud party hacks, even his most loyal pooches are ready to mutiny.

Truth: His silver tongue has turned to clay and his golden rule is dust.
Further Truth: He's trying his best to drag the State of Israel into the same quagmire he's sitting in.

Best option: Netanyahu retire now, secure your place in history.
11. Imagine.......
tiki ,   belgium   (10.17.19)
Any Israeli leader not being able to talk to friends like Putin & Trump.
(In politics, there are no friendships, only interests).

"Netanyahu has lost the Democratic Party & the US Jews"
.The current Democratic party is mainly a loss to America.

Just wait for a little more Jew hate and the Jews of America will come running back to those who can/will safe them and that is not a Democratic party with members like Tlaib, AOC, Omar, Presly, Sanders, Warren & friends.
12. Netanyahu is erudite in PR hucksterism, lacks wisdom, vision
kms ,   Jerusalem   (10.17.19)
13. Political Realities.
Blabla   (10.17.19)
And suddenly people realize that Israel is a pretty small and unimportant country in the end, that hold no leverage at all on the world stage and is dependent on the good will of other, more powerful, nations.
14. Disentanglement from the ME is an American interest
Jake   (10.17.19)
It is a no-brainer for an American President who cares about the welfare of his nation to have as little contact on the ground with the Middle Eastern quagmire as possible.
15. Reading upside down
Ely Jenkins ,   Swansea, UK   (10.17.19)
I think the main difference between columnists and Ynet commentators is that the former do it for money and the latter do it for free.

I say that because the writing exercises of some Ynet columnists, as is the case of Mr. Yemini, would deserve to be among the surreal contributions of the many commentators who overwhelm us with their freaky statements, and some of the commentators who occasionally honor us by sharing their points of view would deserve to be the true authors of the Ynet columns, beyond doubt one of the most influential newspapers in the world.
16. Being politicaly slave of the Mesianic Bloc is not positive
(10.17.19)
17. Bravo for leaving Syria
Avi ,   NYC   (10.17.19)
There is no reason why American GI’s should be put at risk in Syria for Israel and its poisonous Lobby. They shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
The Kurds deserve everything that will be coming their way. After betraying Syria and ethnically cleansing Arabs I will be surprised if they will be handled gently.
If Israel believes that leaving north east Syria risks her she should send its own venerated army there. I am sure that the Israeli army that can so effectively fights kids in the West Bank could save the day in Syria with no more than several thousand casualties.
If worrying for the Kurds is the issue then why not accept all two million Syrian Kurds in Israel? They can be considered not less Jewish than the recent imports from Russia or India.
18. Fatal flawed argument of the Israeli intelligentsia
Mordechai ,   San francisco   (10.20.19)
Ben Dror Yemini doesn’t get it: the world doesn’t give a hoot about the Jews. The Jews don’t care much about each other either. And some in the world (especially in Europe) hate Jews! So whether Ganz is PM or Ahmed Tibi is (or my favorite: Hanan Zoabi) IT WON’T HOW THE WORLD RELATES TO ISRAEL. I know most Israelis are desperate for international acceptance... it won’t happen. Get over it!
