Four people were stabbed in central Israel in a weekend of violence. An 18 year-old youth was moderately injured after being stabbed in Rehovot on Saturday night due a fight over a soccer game. The youth was taken to the Kaplan hospital in the city.
In Bat Yam, a fight between two groups of youths broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning, and an 18 year-old youth was stabbed and lightly injured.
Paramedics evacuated him to the Wolfson hospital in Holon. Three other youths injured in the incident received medical treatment on the scene.
Police arrested two resident of Lod suspected of being behind the stabbing.
A 23 year-old resident of Tel Aviv was stabbed and lightly injured in a fight which broke out on a street. A police investigation found that the man tried to separate between a number of people involved in a fight, and was stabbed with a piece of a broken bottle. Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the man to the Wolfson hospital.
A 20 year-old youth was stabbed during a robbery in Tel Aviv's Old Central Station. An unidentified knifeman stabbed the youth, and stole a few hundred shekels and a mobile phone.
A 17 year-old Tel Aviv youth was lightly injured by stab wounds during a fight which broke out between two groups of youths in Ben Yehuda Street in Tel Aviv.
The youth was taken by his friends to the Ichilov hospital. Nine suspects involved in the incident have been detained, and two have so far been released.
On Thursday, a 17 year-old teenager from Jerusalem was stabbed in a Tel Aviv nightclub on Allenby Street. A group of Arab youths attacked the youth. Police have launched an investigation, and detained a suspect. The club in which the attack took place has been closed pending a hearing in court.
