26 face trial in Paris for suspected roles in helping Chechnya fighters

Twenty-six people go on trial Monday for their suspected roles in helping Islamic militants in Russia's war-ravaged republic of Chechnya, and possibly planning an attack in France.

The defendants - including a mother, a father and two of their children - face charges of criminal association with ties to a terror group. They face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. (AP)
