The American billionaire Warren Buffett will arrive in Israel for the first time this coming Sunday. Buffett, the second wealthiest man in the world, acquired 80 percent of the Iscar manufacturing company from the Wertheimer Family for a sum of USD 4 billion.
Buffett will arrive in Israel together with his partner and aide Charley Munger and a few of his investors. He will arrive on Sunday and will stay at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. On Monday he will tour the Iscar plant and meet with the founder of the company Steph Wertheimer.

On Monday afternoon Buffett will visit a biotechnology center established by Steph Wertheimer at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Later he will meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Finance Minister Abraham Hirchson, and other top officials in an event in Jerusalem.
The 76-year-old Buffett from Nebraska, also known as the "Oracle of Omaha," is the chairman and principal owner of the investment giant Berkshire Hathaway, which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange for an estimated USD 149 billion.
The company holds shares of Coca Cola, American Express, Procter & Gamble, and many other companies, mostly in the area of insurance. Buffett's personal wealth is estimated at USD 44 billion. Lately buffet announced he will donate USD 37 billion to charity.
