Prime Minister Ehud Olmert expressed sorrow at the death of Palestinian civilians in Beit Hanoun, as did Defense Minister Amir Peretz/
The two offered the Palestinian Authority urgent humanitarian aid and immediate medical treatment for the injured and Peretz authorized the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Yusef Mishlav to send humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population.
