Tel Aviv markets climb to record high

Tel Aviv major indexes register steep rise Tuesday; TA-25 rises above 980 for first time

Trading on the Tel Aviv stock exchange ended at record highs Tuesday.


The TA-25 Index registered a 1.62 percent rise, closing at 981.64, breaking the 980 point for the first time. The TA-100 climbed 1.62 percent to 992.73 points. The TelTech index rose 1.77 percent to 400.26 points at closing time.


Some NIS 2.13 billion ($502.95 million) was traded on the market Tuesday.


The dollar rose slightly by 0.071 and the exchange rate was set by the Bank of Israel at NIS 4.241. The euro climbed by 0.503 percent, to NIS 5.5173.
