Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow bought a $5.5-million Manhattan penthouse from Israeli real estate mogul Lev Leviev.
The New York project, River lofts, built by Africa Israel Investments Group which is chaired by Leviev, is located in the prestigious Tribeca area which has recently become one of the most popular neighborhoods in the city.
The actress will be in good company with neighbors such as actress Meryl Streep, who purchased a $10 million penthouse in the same building and actor Harvey Keitel who will also be living next door.
Paltrow will be living in the 4822 square feet apartment with her husband, singer Chris Martin and their two children.
Africa Israel has recently expanded activity in New York City, including the purchase of a historic building in Manhattan for $426 million, which it plans to renovate into a luxurious apartment building.
