A new sexual harassment complaint has been filed against suspended president Moshe Katsav Monday, by one of the complainants in the affair who is already known to the police.
Katsav's associates told Ynet that in light of the new complaint they are convinced that the evidence material held by the State Prosecution will eventually lead to a dismissal of the case.
Earlier, Attorney General Menachem Mazuz summoned Katsav for supplementary questioning, after the police received new material pertaining to the investigation.
In May, Mazuz is slated to hold a hearing for Katsav following which he will decide whether to indict the suspended president for a series of sexual offenses, including rape.
Katsav's attorneys said that they were "certain that the investigation material, including the new information, do not warrant an indictment, and would lead to a dismissal case."
