I underwent surgery on my spinal column, and since then, I’ve had trouble having relations with my wife. The doctor suggested that I take Viagra. Is this permitted? -- Yosef, Central Israel
Answer:
Viagra is permitted - as long as it’s been recommended by a doctor and is taken under medical supervision.
Actually, this issue is part of a husband’s obligations towards his wife, and a man must strive to fulfill his obligations. Of course, if the wife is not interested, she certainly may refuse.
