Report: Hamas opens fire on Fatah rally commemorating Arafat

Forces loyal to the Gaza Strip's Islamic militant Hamas rulers opened fire on Monday at the rival Fatah group's mass rally commemorating the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

One civilian was killed and at least three were wounded, witnesses said. Hamas said the dead man was killed by Fatah gunmen who had fired from rooftops, but that could not be confirmed. (AP)
