Six Israeli-Arabs indicated for arms deal with Tanzeem operatives

The Haifa District court Sunday is expected to indict six residents of the Arab villages of Qira and Jaser el Zarka for trading in arms with Tanzeem operatives from the West Bank city of Qalqilya.

An investigation jointly conducted by the Shin Bet and the Amakim District Police revealed that the ring-leader of the accused contacted a Tanzeem operative and bought weapons from him which he then sold in Israel. Twenty-one suspects were questioned in this case, and more indictments are likely forthcoming. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
