The IDF on Monday morning killed two Islamic Jihad
members in the West Bank town of Qabatiya, near Jenin. Palestinians reported that another gunman was critically injured by IDF fire in the same incident.
The Palestinians added that the military raid lasted several hours, and that the three gunmen were hit by IDF fire.
IDF forces operated in the Jenin area on Sunday night and Monday morning. At around 5 am, Palestinians reported that the soldiers had encircled a building in Qabatiya, where three members of the al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, were hiding.

One of the gunmen died on the spot, while the other two were injured. The Palestinians claimed that the army did not let a Red Crescent ambulance evacuate the injured, and that one of them died from his wounds shortly afterwards.
The two gunmen killed in the incident were identified as Ahmed Abu-Zeid and Amar Zakarena. The third gunman, who was critically wounded, was evacuated to the Jenin hospital for medical treatment.
The IDF confirmed that an elite unit operating in Qabatiya shot and hit three gunmen.
"The forces spotted three armed terrorists and opened fire at them. Two of them were killed, and three rifles were found on their bodies: An M-16, a Kalashnikov and a carbine," the army reported.
